We 100% have to recruit someone, or go with a Griff/Ty/Beanie triumvirate.
 
Goldstein has walked out of Arden St and requested a trade to punt rd. but the tigers have knocked the request from North for the swap of Grigg and Chaplin

Need a taller younger ruckman with the heart of Ivan's, pronto. Without one we'll struggle to get past first base.

For the record, Maric will be on the front foot in season 2016 :spin. Thanks Maric that makes me feel good now.

Obvious question is what the hell happened in 2015 if he feels he can do better next year?
 
The stark reality is the four games we lost in the past 17 were all to teams with gun rucks - either way taller or way more athletic than Maric - the rucks were Natinui; Sandilands; Jacobs & Goldstein.

Love Ivan but he isn't at the superstar level to take us to a flag & clearly Hampson isn't either. Foolish to defer addressing the ruck issue to after 2016 season.
 
A succession plan is essential. Agree with the comment above. He had all of this season to make a statement in games but is physically unable to impose himself on taller and more mobile opposition. The spirit is willing, but you need to be an absolute monster these days to be an A Grade ruck.
 
That was the big risk this trade period for leysy as well.

We all love Ivvy, but the fact of the matter is, him being demolished has been the oppositions driving force towards the two winnable finals in three years.

Get close to square in the ruck against both Carlton and North - we win both.

Realise getting another ruck in would upset him & the investment in Shaun.

But sometimes you have to admit you've got it wrong and upset the apple cart.

Ruck stocks = biggest worry going into 2016 (alongside Handbrake's gamestyle).

The rest of the huffing, crying and sulking about what we give up for Yarran, get for Astbury, what happens with Lennon etc. is childs play to next years chances.
