Ivan Maric

I think Browne will end up similar to Jacobs and thus overtake Maric but only if he gets the opportunities over the next 1-2 years. Dunno what's going to happen here though because cant play both in the same side. Wouldn't that be ironic anyways.

Welcome to the Yellow & Black Ivan.

Is it just me or does Ivan look a bit like Robert De Niro's Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver!! ;D

I think Maric buys us 2-3 years to develop Browne. Then the last 1-2 years of Maric contract he will be the back-up if Browne is injured.

I reckon Maric will surprise us and will remain our #1 ruckman for a good 4 to 5 years. It's Browne's job, or the next young ruckman we get on our list, to force Eevarn out or wait until he retires.

Where does all this leave Gus Graham?

I wish I shared your confidence Baloo.
I honestly just hope he holds his spot and will take it from there.
Lots yet for Ivan to prove.

That's what i was sorta getting at. But when u look at how Browne is tracking compared to other gun ruckman around the league he is ahead of schedule and think he's a fair chance to overtake him within Maric's contract. Maric means we now dont have to throw Browne to the wolves and rush him.

Maric is 25 now. He's that age where Ruckmen tend to come of age unless they are Jamar.

He seems like a confidence player despite his bravado and I reckon Eevarn knowing the #1 spot is his will give him the confidence he needs to make it to the next level.

We'll see I guess.

BBR needs to work on his athleticism. No questioning his heart but like Patto before him, heart isn't enough.

Gus ? Dunno. Will he still be on our list ? That would be 5 ruckmen

Big Browney coming from a long way back. Was very unfit when we took him as a project as he could only train once a week due to where he lived. I made the mistake thinking he was about 23 when i posted in the list management thread a few months ago. Got a long way to go but its mainly fitness based. Kid can play.

Don't get me wrong, I like BBR, I just think Eevarn is going to surprise, in a good way.

It leaves him very lucky to be contracted.

Even all his long time supporters on here have deserted him.

So do I. Very happy to have him. Just think Browne will be better soon. Either way, it will be a good battle for no.1 spot in a couple of years.

Having Watched alot of Ivan, I feel its a pretty safe bet that he will improve our club to some degree. Especially considering that our rucks have let us down so badly over the years.

If he bashes up the younger and lesser rucks, breaks even with the average rucks and competes hard against the better rucks, I'll be happy.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't...if that makes sense :headscratch

He's got nothing to lose by coming to Richmond. I reckon he knows he has a golden opportunity with us and he will work his ring off.
