No he's not, and what a source of frustration that has been. Should have been throwing that body around. By all reports Maric is a lot more physical, thank god.

I had a look at his highlights on the RFC site and decided that we have the next Dean Cox . I guess we could put together a 2 minute highlight reel for most players and make them look like champions as well .

2 things I did notice is that he actually watches the ball and jumps in the ruck at the centre square which is a improvement on what we have been getting and that he has a slightly awkward kicking style .

The Crows fans suggest he is weak at centre bounces but a lot better around the ground and throw-ins where he can out-muscle his opponent. I guess if he's at least making a contest in the centre he can make life tougher for the opposition even if he doesn't win the count.

I did like hearing that he'll naturally become our young midfield's personal bodyguard while out on the park.

On the downside, they said that when he has a bad game, it's normally a REALLY bad game. Can't wait for those ones.

In all seriousness we will probably still lose the hit out count but they wont be to advantage like we often cop. They will be contested and tough for the opposing ruckman. At the throw-ins looks good. Very strong.

Perhaps the best thing for us is that he should be able to put body-on-body on some of the lighter/younger ruckmen and so we might get some wins against the second/thrid tier ruckmen. Graham would go against those blokes on merit. I mean Maric will probably be able to moster a Max Gawn whereas Graham might not. But against the Cox, Jolly types the difference might be marginal.

Fist thing first, I want him to grow the hair and get the crazy Croat tennis player look cranking again.

He struggles a bit in interviews but I can't help but get excited by what he was saying. Seems ecstatic that he's a Tiger and by the sound of things he can't wait to get onto the track and show the other boys what he's capabale of.

I reckon he's going to be a very handy player for us over the next few years, I'm getting more and more confident that in 3 years time we will look back on this trade and say that we won it comfortably.

Welcome aboard Drago!

Liked it when he said that he's looking forward to setting new standards in the weights room :hihi

No but his aggots aren't in proportion to his body. Would struggle to play goalshooter for the Australian netball team with the way he uses his size.

Sounds like our new guy can at least put the size to effective use.

That was a great interview . he seems really happy to be at Richmond and I loved the stuff he was saying .

Round 1 against Warnock,
Ivan Drago, says to Warnock, just before the 1st bounce
"I will Break you"

. He will say it to him in Croatian, "Ja ću te slomit". That will get Warnock completely off guard :)

EE-varn sounds better than Eye-van.

Ee-varn Mar-itch sounds more like a Champions League player. ;D

Proper way is to say "ee-vun".

Bog i Hrvati; šuti i platiti!

Other names of interest:

Didak = Dee-duk; Dragicevic = Drrug-ee-cha-vich; Bogut = Bore-gut

Remember to pronounce them snappy, not drawn out.
