If the Swans hadn't been terrified of Jack kicking the goal, then one of them may have been able to stop Maric from getting there.scottyturnerscurse said:More odd was that Ivan, the slowest player on the ground, was the first one to get there.

Unless we could somehow score a ten year dominant ruck beast, I doubt it's an absolute priority for us. Ivvy's still competitive against most rucks n we have Ty 25 y.o. Griff 23 y.o. n possibly the developing Beanster 21 y.o. who could competently play the mobile ruck forward combo roles for quite some time.smokin joe said:Interesting times coming up with our list, if we do target another ruck man like Leuenburger or a Kruezer we need to promise them a senior spot straight away to get them across i think.
Ivan is still playing some good footy so i wonder which we we will go , maybe groom Vickery as the new number 1 seeing Hampson is a bust.

I think the reason Rampe didn't push it through for a point was that there was 2 minutes to go and we were 6 points up. Any score meant they had to score twice to win.TOT70 said:When they take penalties in Soccer, they only have to contend with one goalie, Ivan had to knock it past two.
Seriously weird stuff. Why did Rampe pat the ball down and kill it when he reached down for it? Why didn't he just push it through the goals? How exactly did they both fall over? Why did Jack just get out of the way and watch? Why didn't he scramble for the goal like he normally does? Why did Ivan stop long enough to fry an egg but not think to pick it up? Why did the two Swans just lie on the ground? Where was the rest of the defence? Why was Buddy still sooking at the other end of the ground?
It was like a train-wreck that everyone could see coming but everyone was mesmerised and frozen in the moment.
