The stats on centre clearances had us breaking even.
Wasn't what my old eyes saw on the night.

And, our disposal efficiency was (I think) a respectible 74%.
Again, not from where I was watching.

Left me scratching my head too. Our disposal early was awful.

The Eagles looked stronger in the contest, more easily broke our tackles and got hands free in tackles. Never thought we would win given nicnat dominance and their defensive setup. Not s terrible result considering the starting handicap.

I'd leave him in. Those calling for Hampson will be deleting their posts once they see him mis-clunking the ball all over the place.

Hampson :duh

Worst game as a tiger. He really lowered his colours I thought. It just looked like he was too Nic Nat focused and was jumping early, going for the body contact early and ended up second guessing himself. I never expect him to do well against the athletic freaks, hence why I question Griffo or Vickery not being the guy to start in the middle.

I think the cats are on the right track in regards to ruckmen now with Stanley and blicavs - just get athletic guys that can leap, compete in the ruck and get around the ground well. The time of the beast ruck is ending I think.

Ivan's position must be under review and not just for a week.

Maybe we can get away with Maric against Pyke but with another player maybe we can actually win the ruck.

Sandilands and Nic Nac are bad match ups for Ivan, apart from the hit-outs I thought his contested play was good apart from the goal that Nic Nac got.
Rest him on the bench, not down forward. He'll beat Pyke just like he did Bellchambers.

Who's that player, Jack? Is he on our list?

If he is it's Griffiths or Vickery, Carn. If Hampson were fit I'd nearly give him a gallop. Who knows? Maybe Ivvy can lift.

DDT, it's about the slaughter the other way. *smile* carnage.

Unless Hampson can do something other than win the hit outs, I'd rather never see him in the seniors again. Griff is still learning, although he is learning quick and they prefer to use Ty as a forward who rucks a bit. They need someone experienced who can take most of load and at present that's Ivvy. We do need a good back up, who has a few years left in him and can take over from Ivan going forward, but I think we may have to go looking for that come season's end.

The carnage is because Ivan can't get anywhere near it, Carn. It's at the stoppages. The ball is at the whim of the other team.

It first happened in the second half of the 2013 Elimination Final. And it's been happening a lot since.

It wasn't just in the ruck, it was around the ground.

He is treacle slow. Can't jump. And can't bend. Few times where admittedly bad handballs to him were down low, he simply couldn't bend to pick em up.

Playing like an old man.

Yep, he really looks like his time is drawing to a close... quickly. As much as I hated to type that, there it is.

The way he is playing, taking into account his worsening disposal and even poor kicking for goals these days, we really need a replacement from somewhere. Are there any VFL listed rucks tearing it up?

I think we have burnt Ivvy over the last 2 seasons. Need to improve his management over the seasons and give him regular breaks throughout the year and play Hampson

Kreuzer!

Bulked up, gave away some of his mobility to build himself into a monster. Stuffed groins, never moved the same since then. On borrowed time till we find a suitable replacement. Either a punt on a emerging talent who we think may blossom or an A grade ruckman who will cost us plenty to bring to punt Road. Something a bot better than a 201cm Ben Marsh (2004 - 7 games)

Ivan is labouring no doubt. Too many eggs in this basket.
NikNat made him look like water buffalo up against a gazelle.
Could well prevent us from progressing much at all this season.
