Look what he lists too.

More than we spend on NDIS, Medicare etc. Yeah, that's because when your indigenous you don't get access to the usual services the rest of us get, you get access to indigenous services so the government can claim they are spending extra money on indigenous services when in actual fact they are just supplying the services all Australians get. It is a way to make funding for Indigenous Australians look a lot bigger than it really is.

Indigenous education, counted as part of the indigenous funding, same goes for Aboriginal Legal Services. The rest of us get schooling supplied and legal aid for being a citizen, if you're a black fella the funding is counted as specific for black fellas.

Plus, how much of this funding goes to white fella bureaucrats - heaps!

Yeh, I shouldn’t come to this thread, I start fuming when I read misguided trash like that. It’s a shame and I mean SHAME that white Australians continue to pretend that being serially *smile* over is some kind of advantage for aboriginal people. Out bush, the reality is that every aspect of people’s lives is micromanaged by the government. People spend time staring at a wall in an ‘employment program’ on a community with no jobs and the penalised for being active in ceremonies and hunting. 15 people in a house, schools that are not bilingual and have constant staff turn over. The territory is already starting to implode and will only get more dysfunctional the more this crap goes on. The only answer any government up here seems to have atm is to incarcerate everyone. You traumatise whole generations, you pay the price.

Yeah, it's never been done without bipartisan support and it will be tough without it.

On the other hand, if the Libs are serious about winning back the seats they lost to the Independents, supporting a No vote is really going about it the wrong way.

While it is true that no referendum has passed without bipartisan support of the 2 major parties, it is also the case that the primary vote of the 2 major parties is at the lowest it has been for 100 years.

I reckon the Voice is a very good chance of passing even if the Libs either oppose it or just wimp out and sit on the fence.

My favourite line in that song (although a terrible situation) is when he belts out: "children of thalidomide....da...da...da"

Here's a little film made in 2018 presumably just after the Uluru Statement came out.

It shows just how many times the Indigenous people of our country have tried to gain some recognition, have tried to gain some rights and have been rebuffed time and time again.

The Uluru Statement calls for Voice, Treaty and Truth.

Let's take the first step now and not wimp out at taking more steps in the near future.

Quite a large list that fell off the truck on Punt Road but I am sure there are more there.

It appears that todays erudite descendants of part Aborignal blood are convinced the above Offices have failed the native Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders & now want control with a Voice in Canberra.

If successful with a Yea one cannot imagine this erudite lot waving a big wand & fixing the situation , the above paid lot at Tax payers expense , have failed to do over such a long period.

Queensland will be key to this debate.

Dutton declaring No isn't a surprise to anyone.

Queensland will be key to this debate.

Dutton declaring No isn't a surprise to anyone.

While colonial queenslanders murdered as many original inhabitants as the rest of the country put together,

60% of them now live in the extreme SE corner

Theyre largely normal humans, with the exception of a small enclave around palm beach.

Then youve got 5% surviving black fellas.

Theres your 65

Qld is, I think, the only state with a less than 50% Yes in the polls. Still more than No, with a big undecided.

Dutton to oppose Voice.

Hmm, courageous decision there. If this referendum gets up without the support of a major party, after the Aston by-election and the Federal election last year, then the Libs will look like even more of an irrelevancy than they already are.

Problem with the referendum is that it just takes 1 state to say no for it to fail. The LNP will heavily target whatever state they think is the weakest, which at the moment looks like Qld.

The Libs are of the belief that is they are successful in stopping the Yes vote that they'll score a massive political blow against Albanese, allowing the Coalition to get voted back in earlier. They are deluded.

Heard the great man Noel Pearson speaking with Patricia Karvelas on RN Breakfast this morning. He's spent 15 years trying to get the Tories onboard, only to be betrayed after every election, when their promises about constitutional recognition waft off in the breeze. He's spent a lifetime working towards Reconciliation. We can't let him down.

After him came the grey man Paul Fletcher, a status quo do-nothing spineless Wet repeating Dutton-crafted soundbites about constitutional recognition and regional and local blah blah blah. Then a glimmer of hope for the failed Liberal Party in the form of backbencher Bridget Archer, who admitted she'd contemplated leaving the party but will stay to represent the like-minded Liberals who pre-selected her twice because to do otherwise would be to abandon the party completely to the right-wing hyenas. She and former Tassie Premier Peter Gutwein and current Tassie Premier Whatshisface will campaign Yes. Good on them.

Australians saying loud and clear in increasing numbers

We dont want devisive corrupt self interested racist hateful mongrels in charge.

If anything, this will consolidate a YES vote,

And marginalise the LNP further.

The christian right have a terminal grip on them.

Queensland can still vote No as a whole, but the referendum can still win.

Majority vote across Australia AND majority of states - 4 out of 6. Territories are counted in the national vote.

Did not think Noel was so naive to let Dutton & Co out manoeuvre him.
