Hardwick new coach?

I just hope Hardwick's reputation as being a hardnosed ruthless bastard isn't from some documentary called "Year of the Hawk" or something like that.

Urgh, it is certainly a worry.

Yeah we will, but god help him if we get served up the same old crap.
why would that happen ?? seeing he was one of the main people to help us to that 08 grand final ! tough as nails and does not take any rubbish from what i have seen !!!!!

He coached Hawthorns midfield i believe, up until this year.
The took on the forward coach this year.

Pretty well done in establishing that midfield-Mitchell, Lewis, Hodge

GOOD LUCK and get behind him tiges

:rofl :rofl was thinking the same thing, ur referring to when he was interviewed for the essendon job!

Yep.

The last time he took a Hawthorn Football Club laptop. He had all the information stored on it, then at the very last minute, they said he couldn't take intellectual property with him to Essendon. Fair enough too I might add. Anyway, beginners mistake. He didn't have time to impress on the powerpoint presentation.

He obviously didn't make that mistake with us.

The other part of the interview was that Hardwick was scathing of the bombers list, and wanted to clean it out. They didn't and went with Knighta who said he can achieve a Premiership with the current crop of youngsters. Essendon didn't want ruthless after Sheedy.

We need a ruthless approach. I think March's call for something like 14 players who could take the club forward would have been something Damien preached.

Therefor, he is the man for our job.

There will be some sleepless Tigers atm.

should we start naming em oldie, or do u reckon hardwick has a fairly good idea who's going to get the chop :hihi i think the latter!

I heard that if he was awarded the Richmond job, he would be immediately released from his Hawthorn position.

If that is the case, I would imagine so.

I am a massive supporter of Damian as you know mate, and he has that steel that will be required to take on our job.

A lot of work to do, he has my support, let's get behind him and take this club back to where we belong.

i reckon he can !!

TigerForce, you have had that avatar for months, probably even longer, how does the appointment make you feel?

if i was you, i woulda thrown cash on it when the bets opened :p

Thats for sure but something tells me we won't.

He is as honest as the day is long, will not make a good salesman mate, which for guys like me and you, would appreciate after the last guy.

Ruthless, that's one word I keep hearing with him.

Let's hope it is the case.

Yeah I agree Bobby. Unlike the last guy this guy was not lured by the money, but by the motivation to be a head coach, and it is now pretty clear he wanted the Tigers job, obviously had no intention of taking Port on if he won our job.

Who ever we chose was gonna be a coach who was motivated by desire not money, They know the task ahead and are obviously prepared to back their philosophys as much as we are.

If this process has not identified the right candidate then I don't know what would have.

I have only one thing to add

How you feeling now numb nuts SHEEHAN. You were wrong now lets see you come out and admit it on the back page.

TB yeah knew about hardwick telling the bombers they needed to clean the list and bottom out etc but the lap top story didnt know that in full as uve just told it, what a classic but how nerve racking would it have been for him on the day for that to happen....

Ruthless aint that the truth, what i dont understand is for the last 10 yrs under frawley and wallet they didnt make the hard call on certain players when most of us tiger tragics knew who had to go...

It's too early but my confidence on having Dimma as a successful coach are way better than my hopes on when Frawley and Wallace were announced.
