I wonder if Hardwick will head to Perth for a look this weekend

I heard that if he was awarded the Richmond job, he would be immediately released from his Hawthorn position.

If that is the case, I would imagine so.

I am a massive supporter of Damian as you know mate, and he has that steel that will be required to take on our job.

A lot of work to do, he has my support, let's get behind him and take this club back to where we belong.

Congratulations Damien Hardwick.

Please make the tough decisions and lead us out our dismal state and to quote our new CEO "bring us back to a REAL big four club!"

:clap

Congratulations and welcome to Punt Rd Dimma :clap

Please, no matter what, don't take any shortcuts in your drive for success.

Just wondering that if the announcement was to happen tomorrow, how did it get out tonight???
There are so many leaks at the club that it's just not funny. The leaks need to be found or our club will go no where.

If it was leaked, then the shine has been taken off the coaching appointment for me.

Happy with the way this played out. Well done to the club and best of luck Hardwick.

Excited to know who our new coach is going to be over the next few years - but apart from how he was a player, I don't know all that much about him.

Everyone is saying how much of an *smile* he is (if so then great!), but is this based on knowledge of him as a person/assistant coach, or just based on how he played the game?

I don't know whether we made the right choice, as for some reason I really liked Hinkley and his link with Geelong's success, but either way, it's good to know we had a strong recruitment process, stuck to it, and that in itself gives me more confidence than I've ever had with a Richmond FC head coach appointment.

Gee, was hoping for hinkley but now Hardwick has it he should get full support of all tigers.

Obviously his final submission has improved from the one he presented to bummers.

I'm feeling good after this announcement. I hope this time around really changes everything for the better.
I think even if he fails , he will clean this place up in a big way and we wont hear to much BS and Im confident the players will actually get to meet him

This time he brought his own laptop and he went to a club in desperate need of his ruthless philosophies.... ;)
