Hand it over Jobe Watson, Cotchy is the 2012 Brownlow medalist!

You would have thought that the druggies would now realise delaying the inevitable just makes it worse. Any public sympathy towards Jab will erode the longer this goes on

If Watson appeals he will wait for the decision, if not hand it over sunshine .

Cotchin is not the 2012 Brownlow medalist and reckon he wouldn't want it in this manner. Hope he becomes the 2016 Brownlow medalist.
Wrong.

already discussed to death, in short, not ideal, but anyone would still take it.

Why has no journalist reported on Jobe's performance spike during '12? Its been reported to buggery on social media. Again, I'm not normally a conspiracy theorist, but it seems to be a conspiracy, or tacit agreement in the mainstream media to not report the facts on nice guy Jobe.

Oh that's right CAS and WADA are the bad guys, sorry.

Anyone else happen to read an article yesterday in the HS where Robbo and Ralph were debating whether Jobe should keep the medal? Was embarrassing on both parties - Robbo hardly offered a fact, was all Essendon fanboy stuff. Ralph started off strong with facts yet somehow had appeared to cross over to Robbo's side by the end of it. The basis of Robbo's argument was that Jobe is a nice guy and that he doesnt deserve to have the medal taken off him and be branded a drug cheat. Um yes he does Robbo if he has been found guilty of taking illegal substances!

James Hird was also a 'nice guy' all through his playing days, means very little if you have been found guilty of drug cheating. Considering Corey McKernan lost his Brownlow due to a rule which now cops a $1000 fine, maybe Gill the Dill should rewrite history and give him his medal. Such double standards, it's a boys club mentality complete with favourites and regular villains. Only in the AFL would you get this absurd situation with a drug cheat being rubbed out for a year but also being acknowledged as the best & FAIREST. To call this amateur hour would be the understatement of the century.

I can't for a minute believe that the AFL will allow him to keep the medal if this reputed Swiss appeal is unsuccessful. Surely, SURELY common sense will prevail.

what a waste of time and money, if they loose their appeals they should be slapped with 2 years bans (the full length of the penalty) !!! What a mess, what a joke!!

this is McLachlan's AFL we're talking about. Common sense, logic and rationality are in short supply. Meanwhile they're all walking around in their fancy suits drawing their big paycheques.

Certainly has a lot of splinters in his backside so far.

There is no doubt they will take it off him. None.

I for one minute can't believe that is not on public record from the AFL that ANY convicted drug cheat can not be allowed to keep any award. No exceptions.

believe it NYT. What is on the public record from the AFL is that the players are victims, and will be paid and fully supported. Forget the words 'convicted' or 'drugs' or 'cheat'. Even the press call it the 'supplements scandal' or saga. Not 'performance enhancing drugs' or ''steroids' or even 'peptides'. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if they started calling it the 'vitamins controversy'.

It's the Board, or Commission in this game, hires, fires and sets the agenda for the CEO.

And people complained about Demetriou. At least he had the balls to make a decision.
