Goodbye Mabior Chol

Thought he was ordinary yesterday, terrible below the knees, missing targets with his kicking.
Serious? Thought his second half was mighty fine for a youngster still learning his craft. Yes he still makes some small mistakes n errors but the big pelican is scary exciting when he gets things flowing. Did some fine ruck work, has a magnificent leap and often buttered up with second efforts around the contest. Loved the way Cholly n Wombat were combining forward as well.

X3. Thought he was very impressive

If he builds his tank he could be a handy high half forward type, very quick an agile and usually a very good field kick

Before CCJ comes on, I'd use Cholly as forward-ruck to help Nanks.

Besides been a bloody good player , this is where Lynch would be huge to all the young tall forwards on the list, would mean no rushing them in and getting the important education from Fly at VFL level for 2 or 3 seasons.

Certainly is an option TF, I think Chol is the hardest bloke on the list to pick where his career will end up and where he will play his best footy, defiantly raw but has some very good traits

Looking at Chol from 2 years ago to the player he has become yesterday there is a significant improvement imo and heading the right way

We need to be patient and he is probably still 3 years away from where we would want him to be and make a call if he is at the high end of our expectations or not , He has just turned 21 so we are looking at when he is 23/24 when he would / should be a starting 22 player

He had a good game yesterday and showed a fair bit

Nope. What is your opinion of his game?

Appalling quiter ... Woeful miss by butler and an easy rebound to collingwood for a simple easy goal ..
Really crap half of footy

Yeah, but it’s a bit harsh to blame that all on Chol

Yep agree, ordinary. Managed to get in behind the backmen a couple of times and he does look dangerous with the ball near him but he won't get those opportunities at afl level. CCJ is the one. Looks very good.

Thought he had a couple of comical moments but they were on the positive not negative scale. Had a good game 3 goals and should have had 5 competed well and rotates ok in the ruck.

So I am saying I am seeing great improvement but a year or two of development still required.

I keep thinking of Majak Daw at 27 and never finding a spot, (how is he going as a defender?), whenever I imagine Choi's future as a tiger.

Choi is a couple of inches taller than Majak so more likely to be competitive in the ruck but I can't see Choi finding a spot as a KP player.

I hope he gets a crack vs the saints.
Still think he doesn't suit our pressure like game plan.

I think he has a long way to go in consistently applying the required pressure in our forward 50 to be effective enough.
