Goodbye Mabior Chol

Not a fan of his selection ahead of Moore, who is a natural footballer, Chol is not.
Has looked lost in the few games I have seen.
It has become very clear over the last few years that footballers are better selections than athletes.
But I wish him every success if selected.

yeh I too don't think he is ready. Dont get sucked in by 2min VFL clips. We all know he can take a decent mark, kick a decent goal a couple of times a game. Its the other 80-90min on the park that has me worried.

- Chase and tackle?
- Tank?
- read the play?
- Ruck well with out mids?

Happy to be proven wrong soon... For me, its purely his ability to stay in the game, even if he is not getting his hands on the ball.

Chol is a project player and like a lot of project players he won't make.
Waste of time. Just pick natural footballers.

I reckon I have seen all but 2 of the games he has played @ VFL level, this year we are seeing a different Marbs, multiple repeat efforts, desperation at the man & ball and has developed some mongrel.

More convinced that ever that he will make it

Agree.. will end up (at best) like Majak Daw - 10 years on with potential label still on him

We have one of these players on our list for 4 years after spending 6 years on Carltons list, And we gave up a 2nd rounder for him

It’d be good to see some stats on “project” players ie games played but I doubt there’s stats because no there’s no real category for “project players”. But I’d assume in terms of number of games you’d be better off drafting more developed, ready to go players (eg state leaguers).

We’ve got 50 games out of Sam Lloyd, Kane Lambert will play 100, Broad is a premiership player.

OK, I am always a half glass person so I'll go down the thoroughbred path and look at our from. From round 10 least year we won 14 Lost 4 (Swans - G, St Kilda ES, Cats down there, Crows - AO). Its bloody impressive

W W L W W L W W W W L W W (finals) W W W (JLT) W W ('18) W L

WE are a good team. We just need to "keep going" on Sunday.

Um, you may have sprouted a bit too early :spin

He might have a terminal lack of concentration. To be fair, he is showing improvement in that area, but I'm not sure it's enough.

Here's hoping!

Mabior Chol was named on the bench for tomorrow's game.

This stung Seymour into action. And laxated Mabior Chol.

Prefer Sniffens.

If he could put it all together we’d have a player, could also be career over in 18 months , definable improved and stays in games longer from what I’ve seen.

The amount of improvement in 1 season is impressive. Is getting more of the ball and has more presence than griffo or vickery did when playing vfl.

He's that athletically gifted, he can kick 3 goals in 3 minutes if he can be bothered. Other that that he is either dropping sodas, or spectating from the stands. Some of his positioning in packs is the worse I've ever seen. When he's caught in congestion, he neither competes or positions for crumbs. Only area he excels in is running and leaping at the air ball where he is truly majestic. Frustrating. Won't make it as you can't teach body positioning. Can we give him a brain transplant?
