Goodbye Mabior Chol

Watching him live against the Northern Bloopers lead me to think he is one of three things -

Problem is all are unacceptable for a prospective AFL footballer.

Other than that he's a chance?

If we delisted him (and we should), I seriously doubt anyone would consider picking him up, even at VFL level.

Has size, has talent, has athleticism in spades. But no intensity, or feel for the game. It's embarrassing how lost he looks on the field for 95% of his game time.

Isn't fit to tie McBean's bootlaces.

Majak, erm I mean Cholly's a rookie, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him get another year. Not sure he understands yet what's required to play the game at a professional senior level, seems to lope around like an Auskicker at times just roaming around the fringes waiting for something to occur. Can look fairly brilliant when he decides to actually get involved in playing though.

Looked a lot better in every aspect of the game back in the JLT series then he has in the games I've seen of him over the past month.

He wouldnt be playing VFL if he wasnt AFL listed. Needs to extract the digit

You got # 2 & 3 right H.

Reckon he must be dejected because his best mates at the club, (thick as thieves apparently), Shai/Rioli/Stengle have all left him in their wake.

You'd think it would make him more determined to succeed but as you say seems disinterested.

Delist him.

Never going to make it. Lazy, disinterested and doesn't get involved. McBean had more promise.

Under.

I'd be more confident if he didn't run under the ball when going for a mark.
He is a project player though, so still has a bit more time.

Trekking backwards which is disappointing especially when opportunities are there. He is being given every chance.
Put on 11 kgs this year so may be battling with the extra weight but will need to show a lot more desire & competitiveness in the coming weeks.
I think this is what I am finding most frustrating watching him this season in the VFL. That was apparent last season. Not this year.
The club surely won't allow another Todd Elton situation. Over to you Mabior...

He is lazy. And a bit soft. Immature. He's a big kid, 20 years old. Garp going forward should see Marbs moved back. Let him be taken to the ball.

watched my first game of 2nds on satdy, and couldnt believe what Chol served up.

mostly, he arrived at each contest 2 seconds after the ball was gone, flailing his limbs like a sea anenome.

80% chance of never playing another senior game I reckon.

He did play back in the 2nd half on the weekend.
Did a few good things it must be said spooker. Forced to get involved more.

Yeah, he did, Oldie. Settle him in defence for the rest of the year.

Sadly, sounds like he could be back playing QAFL or bush footy as early as next season, if he even wants to play at all.

A real shame. Certainly has the talent, athleticism and physical attributes to make it - pretty much all the god given tools, so to speak. Just not the desire, work ethic or feel for the game.

Sounds as if Garth has bounded past him already as a tall option.

McKenzie had the tools to be the answer to our KP problem for not the snarl of The Black Dog :(

You're right he is athletic. But you wouldn't think so if you saw him for the first time playing VFL. Needs a long hard chat or a cuddle, whatever works with millennial professional athletes these days.

Yep, McKenzie would eliminated any discussion of Casboult v Reid. Such a shame.
