Goodbye Mabior Chol

Not Chol should be a given. Who or what if not Chol is the debate. Miller is an option. Might be the worst option, but if Nank goes down wouldn't you have rather tested Miller to see what he can do?
If the option is Miller, the answer is Chol.

If Miller is worse than what Chol produced tonight then why is Miller still on our list, or, for that matter, part of the squad brought up to the hub?

- He's young, tall and athletic
- Alex Rance retired
- The ones need training opponents

You are better then chol.
He looked lethargic from the first contest.
Can't risk that in a final

Hopefully everyone had a good look at him today.
Because you won't be seeing him again this year.
Lazy

Disappointing by Chol but an almost game.
Around the ground was lazy, and up forward, should have been in better position to take at least 2-4 marks and end his night with 3-4 goals.

almost game,2 phones needs urgencywonder what Ivan1 is saying in his ear.

My observation of him , and I might be wrong ,

He looks far more comfortable in open space , doesn’t seem to come natural to him to compete in congestion ,

Out in the open with room to move he looks a million dollars ,

An outside tall

But how do we know CCJ was up to it?
We saw this sort of output from Mabs earlier in year and CCJ wasn't brought in then.

CCJ at least has intensity. That's all that was being asked of the role. The only time we saw this output from Mabs was when he was dropped and by that time Nanks was ready. As I understand CCJ was next in line to be given a go.

What sport are you thinking he could play then?

I think first final is a bit late to be testing Miller. I'm with others who think we'll use a Balta type as a chop out ruckman. The bonus is Nanks should be pretty fresh. Biggest risk of course is that he goes down during a game, in which case we're rooted no matter what we do. What can you do? Any team losing their best 2 ruckmen would be in strife.

Mabs lets his opponent get front position too easily, he should be watching Jack's running patterns and work rate.

He course-corrected in the second half. At least broke even, which is what our game plan demands.

Still needs to fight harder for front position and that first half was trash.

Put him on notice but keep him for the Bears. No other choice.

Mabs had 3 disposals (3 kicks) for the game. 1 Mark. 2 HO. 1 goal.

You can’t possibly keep him in for The final. An easy out for the incoming Lynch.

Lol at worrying who plays second ruck. With Edwards back, and Shai and Prestia due back next game I can’t see anyone beating us.

We will just swarm all over the ground and obliterate the opposition. It won’t matter who takes the occasional second ruck.

There is something very beautiful about Mabior's languidness.

the one handed mark and the set shot routine, like hes washed 2 oxycontin down with a margarita

But in the cool light of day, lets try focus on the positive,

because Mabs has the toolkit to be a premiership hero.

His game was statistically and visually appalling.

however, he kept Talia engaged all night, and he allowed Nank to catch his breath.

we have no other ruckman now, other than Nank and Mabior.

and for some reason, my acute default optimism deserts me when it comes to playing 1 ruckman.

every ruck contest in game with just 1, my mind plays a 1 or 2 second horror movie before every contest involving the ruckman.

so in the cool light of day,

I say we give Mabior another go, perhaps with a quadruple shot espresso at every break?

lets not throw the baby out with the bath water; Nank had 1 possession his 2nd game back.

I agree. A very poor game. The question is, who is to be our second ruck if he goes out, which he should.
