Goodbye Mabior Chol

Chol showed his real deficiencies under full spotlight. I think Toby goes solo. Having Dave back gives us the option of Him, Noah and Lynchy providing occasional chop out.

CCJ must be ruing his indiscretion. Tailor made for him.
But how do we know CCJ was up to it?
We saw this sort of output from Mabs earlier in year and CCJ wasn't brought in then.

To play Mabior's Advocado,

maybe, just maybe, he didn't handle the Full Forward role?

He looked all at sea, out of his depth, largely hopeless.

maybe we give him one more chance with Lynchy back and he plays a 3rd tall and backup ruck?

Im clutching at straws, I know,

But the thought of 1 ruckman terrifies me, like it always did.

you're only 1 injury away from disaster

we may get a way with it against Brisbane, but Port would bully us I reckon
I'd rather try and get Grigg back than play with a 2nd ruckman that doesn't have a crack.

With Astbury back they would have to consider Balta being the relief ruck and playing Broad or Markov as cover in the backline. I like Chol but tonight reaffirmed exactly what I feared we might get from him.

It's worth reminding everyone Chol isn't a ruckman. I can't see Balta's 20/30% of a chop out any worse than Chol.

Give the role to Broad his played it before provides contest no matter what and Dimma said training in that role to.

The difference is we can then pick another player who will actually have a crack and contribute.

yeah Im very nervous going in with 1 ruckman.

with Dave back, Noah looked a bit superfluous.

maybe, just maybe, he does swing into the role?

would be too audacious I think

I dunno.

Necessity is the mother of invention.
We lose Soldo and DTLD comes back, whilst Balta looks a little lost tonight playing 4th defender. Played on a more mobile target than he’s used to and got lost in traffic at times.
He’s now the logical 2nd ruckman.
You know it makes sense.

That's a different argument. It's not Chol v Miller, it's Chol v not Chol

Not Chol should be a given. Who or what if not Chol is the debate. Miller is an option. Might be the worst option, but if Nank goes down wouldn't you have rather tested Miller to see what he can do?
