The Open Championship this week. Had a shocking run in the two Majors this year but managed to dump a lot of Troy Matteson last weekend, after he started at 380-1 so have a hefty bank.

Senden at top Aussie at $8 looks well priced given his stellar form this year.

Might even have a sniff at Sergio for top Euro. We all know he won't win but should be thereabouts. Colserts the other one who presents some value.

I think Sergio can win on the back of the Spanish euro success

Adam Scott clubhouse leader with a 64 (par 70) after dropping a shot on 18. Unfortunately that bogey cost him a share of the record low round at a major.

Still a great start.

I like Adam Scott he is too a player not to win a major.

I also think Marc Leishman will continue on with his good form.

Scott's playing some sort of tournament. Striking the ball beautifully and rolling the putts delightfully. His to lose. I mean, win.

What a difference Steve Williams has made. I know he has a bit of an ego but he has the results to back him up. I remember Mark Allen on SEN noted when Williams took over Scott's bag that he was far and away the best caddie in the world and would make a massive difference to Scott's game.

Since Williams took over Scott has had his best Masters & US Open results. Now about to have his best BO result. After the BO he will have finished in the Top 25 in 6 of his last 7 majors including 4 of 7 Top tens. Before Williams he had 4 top tens in his previous 39 majors.

Adam Scott is now officially a Richmond supporter. Unbelievable. One of the worst golf collapses I've ever seen. Matched only by Norman's collapse at the 1996 Masters.

Worse IMO. Norman parred the last 2 at least. To bogey the last 4 after being 4 shots clear teeing off the 15th is heartbreaking. May never find himself in such a great position again.

Shocking way to finish. I hope this does not define his career.

Agreed. Still can't believe he lost that.

If anyone's up with time to spare before work switch on the Ryder Cup. I've been up all night (holidays + full moon = pointless even trying to sleep) and it's been gripping golf. Europe down 10-6 at the start of the day has won the first 4 singles matches to make it 10-10. Mickleson/Rose tied on the 18th tee after a monster putt by Rose on 17 to square it up. Go Europe! Ian Poulter is a superstar.

13-12 to Europe now. Just need a point to retain it. An extraordinary day of golf.

It's a fantastic format. Every shot, by every player, loaded with meaning and drama. 13-all now. Molinari sticking it to Tiger - all square with 2 to play. Kaymer 1-up over Stricker with 1 to play means he just has to halve the last for Europe to retain the Cup.

Loved how they were calling Poulter Mr Ryder Cup. He was phenomonal yesterday and today, nailing the putts on 17 & 18 in the four ball gave Europe hope. His reaction, the roar, was what sport is all about.
