Allenby lost 7 and 5. Guess he had local knowledge of the rough and trees.
heh heh.

Agree with you on Day been disappointing. Bad(derley) influence? ;D

one thing from the weekend is that Woods looks like he is getting back to some real form. Very unlucky with the putter, reckon he will be back on the major winning list at Augusta next year

Followed Tiger around today. He as brilliant.

Badds.com not so.

How was the crowd/vibe at the coure tooheys? We seem a very "polite" and "respectful" golfing crowd, compared to say what the Americans would get if playing in the USA.

Thought the whole tournament was terrifc.

Yep, I love match play.

Gee the coverage was very average from a production point of view, jumped all overthe place.

I heard there were 140 PGA staff out here for the event, no wonder it costs so much to put on.

Can we rule a line through Allenbys name.

Yeah I must admit I found it weird. Very little atmosphere at all around the course (almost bizarrely quiet) a bit more so on the greens.
The 'Fanatics' provided a bit of energy in small pockets but yeah it's not what I expected.

Can't knock the quality of the golf though. Really was the cream of the crop out there. Today Scott & Ogilvy the pick of the Aussies.

I followed that match a bit as well , thought Badds played pretty well . He was actually 1 under for 15 holes but the problem was that Tiger was 5 under .

Watched Scotty for a while too , he played extremely well .

Great tournament. I really love the format and the fact that every hole in every group means something.

Will Greg Norman lose the captaincy given he chose Allenby as on of his choices? Had a disastrous 4 days.

Most disappointing for me was Day...didn't really fire a shot.

I went along to practice on wednesday & on saturday. Bloody terrific!

So close to them on wed it was amazing. Stood next to Lleyton & his dad for a minute before they got the call to go inside the ropes.

Sat was brilliant despite making the prro decision to go in thongs & shorts, got soaked & froze my arse off. The temperature made a sudden turn when I scored a high five from Anna Avanovic whilst following Scott :banana. She doesnt disappoint in person! The last 2 hrs or so the crowd really thinned out so I got to watch from so close it was great. KT Kim has ice in his veins for sure. I actually thought the atmosphere was pretty good, particularly considering the internationals were never really in the hunt other than sunday morning. Around the 4th green was brilliant. Even though the crowds were very good it was still a better fan experience than in the US etc.

On a humourous note, YE Yang was walking off the 2nd green sat & a few blokes were pumping him up as KJ Choi. He shook his head then gave them a Garry Lyon 'warning' sort of signal to indicate theyd got the name wrong, very funny.

Anyway I loved it & cant wait to head to the masters.

Robert Allenby seems to have blamed all and sundry for his poor Presidents Cup form....Ogilvy kept hitting in the trees and I had to bail him out, Goosen kept missing putts and YE Yang left him playing alone.

Pretty poor form I reckon. I doubt he will be playing in the Presidents Cup again.

How would you like to start a round like John Senden has today at Coolum ?

Birdie, Eagle, Birdie, Par, Birdie, Birdie for 6 under after 6 . Eagle was a hole in one on a par 3 . On track for a 54

Shocking stuff from Allenby. Doubt he will get picked for a golf teams event ever again.

Norman (and Allenby) can spin it all they want but they simply got that pick wrong.

Who did he blame for getting smashed in the singles?

Reminds me of a joke

Golfer: You’ve got to be the worst caddy in the world
Caddy: I Don’t think so sir, that would be too much of a coincidence

A freakish round from Toms where apparently Toms didn't miss a fairway or green and kept one putting. He said that no one would have beaten Toms but he played well enough that he would have won some of the other singles matches.

Incredible.
