Great to see Marc Leishman fire a great first up round. Heads the leader board half way through the first round. And he is a Tigers supporter, which is even better. ;D

Awesome first round by the Leish, Scott not far behind and Day is positioned nicely. If an Aussie doesn't win it, I would love to see F. Couples wear the jacket again, a true gentlemen and an Augusta specialist. Backed Couples to be first round leader, looks like I'm going to miss by a shot.

Good scoring conditions, most of the big guns still in contention.

Am going to have something on McIlroy at 26/1, his short irons and putting cost him about 4-5 shots, won't play that badly again. Represents value IMO.

Good to see the aussies up there, Scott flying under the radar a bit and Day is a massive talent who loves the big stage. Going to get to see most of his round tomorrow as well as Woods as in the last 2 groups - happy days.

All 4 Aussies in great shape 1/2 way.
Day leading by 1, Lieshman equal 2nd, Scott 3 behind, Senden 4 behind.
Surely this must be our best chance.
Fred Couples is a legend, 53 years old and equal second.
Going to be great viewing last 2 rounds, can't wait.

Couples might be a gentleman but I don't recall him telling his supporters to shut up and back off when they heckled the *smile* out of Parry and physically threatened him in the final round at the Masters that year they were in the last group together.

In Vegas at the moment, the sports bar at hotel has 5 channels showing the golf, great to watch all at once.

The sports show on ESPN though shows 95% Tiger and then the rest. Only showed one highlight of Day.
Good viewing during the day at a good time 11am to 4pm hope an Aussie wins.

Funny you say this. Ch 9 here had an update this morning talking about Day in the lead but every single highlight in the bgd was Tiger!

Enjoy Vegas, what a place I loved it.

Senden had a great round going until he bogeyed 16 and 17 and missed a short birdie put at 18. He could have been right up the top. Fingers crossed we can break the drought

I am going on Sunday. Would be unreal if there is an Aussie winner.
Any sporting event that has $4 beers has to be good :) not a fan of A Scott so I'm goin to moz him an say his a massive chance, can't see Sendo doin any good with that wobbly stroke, if Day doesn't win this one it won't be long till he blows a major field away...geez the Irish lad is nicely poised 3 back on the fence at the 800

Agree with Day comments, big game player.
Some big names lurking as well as Rory.
Tiger, Schwartzel, Couples, both Johnsons, Furyk, Snedeker...
Going to be a great finish by the looks of it.

Marc Leishman and Jason day are joint leaders coming down the the back nine on 6 under. Scott has a share of 3rd at 4 under.

Day just bogies 17 missing an easy putt *smile**
