So Rory runs off without doing a presser ? Gets into the car, crying, drives off.

Probably not a good state to be driving a car in.

Yeh, it is very very poor. He should have had the integrity to hang around & congratulate Bryson. Yeh it would have been tough but it would have been the courageous thing.

One thing about Norman, he always fronted up after devastating losses. And was always gracious to the winner. Always. Whatever you think of him now, he always did the right thing by the game.

Miles Davis WIns The 2024 PRE US Open Championship !

In one of the closest PRE major championship's, I am pleased to announce that Miles Davis Jazz is the new, PRE US Open Champion for 2024. Well done Miles ! That's your second major championship.

In a tough and excruciating PRE US Open, Miles wins with a collective 21 over, 1 shot ahead of myself at 22 over. Couldn't quite reel you in Miles with a final round best of -1. Your 4 over was good enough to hold on. Fitzpatrick's 79 in the 3rd round really cost me but getting all 8 players through the cut line was a massive effort, especially on a course like this. Good job Miles !

In third spot and joining us on the podium was Danners at 24 over. Very good championship for you Danners. 5 shots further back in 4th place at 29 over is Nobet Pays. Shoots the 2nd best score of the final round with a 2 over. (Might have to check my scoring....no way Nobets does that well ???). Toigs just can't quite get it going this week and finishes 5th at 30 over.

Under pressure to not finish last, Mr Burnside shoots the 4th best score of the day ! (5 over), to bolt well clear of Tigerforce who, with his 1990's throwback team brings up the dreaded stern. Might have to give away all these 'Tour Champion' blokes you keep selecting Forces.

Brutal course the ole Pinehurst No.2. Not really sure about these Donald Ross designed greens. That second shot into the 5th green by Rory was ridiculous. Just as I predicted at the start of the week, that green and the 9th was going to cause some discussion. Anyway, Rory completely blows it anyway. Very disapointing. De Chumpo whilst getting every lucky break imanginable off the fairway, still plays some gutsy golf and gets it done. Non American players around the world need to toughen up mentally. They give way to the Americans time and time again. Sick of it.

If I need to correct anything, let me know. Otherwise, we now move onto Royal Troon in a few weeks time for the final major of the year - the British Open. The last chance to get on the PRE Major Champions Honour Board. Moopsgomerie is already burning the midnight oil on this one I feel.

Well done to all that played, especially Miles who takes out the 2024 PRE US Open Championship. See you in a few weeks at Troooon och aye !

Congrats Miles, thanks Oldford.

We all know the US Open is the worst of the majors, but you've got two of them now Miles, so that counts as like one good one. See you all for the best!

congrats jazz & commiserations red (thks again) & danners.
great picks especially the depth.

rory's putt on 18 was a nightmare scenario.
so quick, left right downhill, so much break, so much history, fear of the one coming back...wiped it.
chip unfailing for 4 days... had to leave an uphiller.

Can understand the quick exit but no tweet congrats?
bryson
drove well for 3 days but flattened driver face & changed 5 mins before last rnd tee off
approaches so high & so much more stopping spin...

great viewing

Thanks again Redders.

I've been away for a couple of weeks (off grid), I put my team together in about 5 minutes. Haven't seen any of Rory's implosion yet, sounds like it was an exciting US Open.

Congratulations MD Jazz.

Shuffles in top 10 after 1st rd at another "signature" event

Will be pretty amazing if he racks up another victory

Wow !!
I just watched the US Open highlights, no wonder Rory missed those 3 footers, his feet were all over the shop.

Amazing scenes at the women’s PGA Championship.

Nelly Korda. World number 1. Won 6 times this year including 5 in a row.

But after her 10 on a par 3 a few weeks ago at the US Open, she shoots -3 in the first round of the PGA Championship to be in equal second place only to shoot a career worst 81 in the second round and drop 72 spots to miss the cut. Was in tears walking up the 15th.

What a game.

Played the Old and the Moonah at the National during the week , Old is slowly taking away a bit of the tea tree and are removing a couple of Bunkers after one of Jones’s team was out , I hate removing “ goomba” however helps speed of play , be interesting how “ clear” it ends up

Yeah hopefully you’ll finally get around in under 5 hours which will be a big relief for your playing partners.
