So if, as reported, GWS were asking for F1, 31 and Soldo, and according to news from someone’s dinner date, that was agreed to by all parties with the deal to go through on Monday,- but GWS have now changed their minds and want Balta instead of or in addition to Soldo….
then the arrangements have now broken down?
(Surely Balta wouldn’t agree to that and punt road would never agree to it either).

This is GWS backing out not us.

We may have to wait but it would seem to make it much more likely that Hopper will eventually get to us for free.

What goes around will come around when there players ask for a trade , Clubs will remember things like not coughing up reasonably or screwing over other clubs.

Ah, maybe. They don't say that in 'The Verdict' bit though. Who gets the future first? Norf? So they get pick 2, 3 and Port's future first for JHF and pick 1? That's salvaging from a wreckage if they can do that.

All of the reports are basically having Port give up very little. They are smart to get West Coast involved, as I think West Coast would like a crack at 2 players in the first round (and 20) to fast track their rebuild. They will likely get 2 more top 5 picks over the next 2 years aswell, and I think Port will give up a bit less by doing so, as the premium to get into the top 4 with West Coast will be less than if they went direct to North.

No way they get JHF and Rioli for purely just their 2 first rounders (2022 and 2023), that pure fallacy and why they've asked the AFL if they can use their 2nd next year too (which the AFL have knocked back). Can't see how they do it without trading one of their better players out. I don't see Bonner making much difference.

North will end up with 2, 3 and a 2nd (not sure whose)
West Coast will end up with 8, 12 and a 2nd (again not sure whose but will likely be a good one)

Not sure who is traded out of Port but probably takes someone like Houston / Bergman
