GAME DAY Tiges v Suns

Just home… if I’d done my traffic homework, definitively would not have gone… anyhoo
First game I have left in a loooooong time where I could not discern a game plan of any description… that and the most static forward half team I have ever seen!

Why didn't he give Balta a run in the Ruck. Couldn't have done any worst than Miller or Ryan.

That's what it looked like on TV as well. I simply don't understand our static play this year. It's most unRichmond like.

Yep I got forced into a wrong turn in Docklands a month or so back and couldnt get out of the joint.

Horrendous, all those road works and tunneling its a dead set write off and no go zone to be avoided at all costs.

Bit like Melbourne as a whole really these days.

Exactly. He needs to recognise the position we are in and give the young ones a chance. This is selfless. It would be the ultimate graceful way to end his career....team first, club first!
If the club is fair dinkum they tap him and Tarant on the shoulders before the msd so the club starts the regeneration asap. Problem is im not sure i trust them to make the right calls

I remember a lot on here, including me, bagging Dimma for some horrible game plan that wasn't working, so WTF clicked in 2017??
No coincidence it clicked with the inclusion of very good assistants.
Reckon we will find the same with Clarkson. Has been lauded as the greatest coach ever but reckon the Kanga adventure will fail.

5 losses in a row.Does not look good. The only positive it is early in the season. So where to from here?Reckon those in power aim for a finish of eighth. This means possibly 12 wins to achieve that goal.Manage the veterans, work on the youngins ,and hope the injury curve falls in our favour. If the planets align we may have a good tilt come finals time.

13 wins this year with the extra game.

We need to win 12 of 16.

Not sure we have the team to do that

Crazy.
Wtf is going on?
We have seriously imploded.
Staggered that much talent can produce these results.
Something stinks.

OK, I thought he was there already.
No, he was part of the coaching shakeup. Balme brought him in, and we got Leppa back after his unsuccessful time at the Lions. We didn’t just suddenly click in 2017. There were a lot of changes behind the scenes. Bringing Prestia and Caddy in didn’t hurt, and having a reliable ruck in Nankervis instead of the injury struck Hampson was also part of it.

Anyone else remember this situation and these posts by us supporters through 2016?
At least in 2016, there was a belief in my mind that we still had a lot of talent. We obviously added to that with Nankervis, Caddy and Prestia before season 2017.

This time I feel we have ageing and/or out of form stars and a few promising youngsters at best. Not nearly as optimistic as to how we get out of this.

This is worse than 2016. It’s closer to 2009.
