GAME DAY Tiges v Suns

I understand the match committee were worried about Witts. But Miller and Soldo were never the answer.

It’s an indictment that n those two that Ryan was more competitive when he was up against Witts.

Right now we have a group of individuals instead of playing like a team and for each other like in our recent years. We ball watch instead of gang tackles and commitment. The culture is missing

Wtf was that load of *smile* offered up tonight against the Suns?
theres no I in team we’re playing like a bunch of individuals
whats happened to the Richmond man has he transitioned into a whimp?
theres something very wrong down at Punt Rd
The team is very unsettled There’s no run No team play No spirit

They’re trying to play a team game as individuals. Taranto and Hopper are about the only 2 who have any real connection. The fitness isn’t there, either. Caesar’s training reports tend to indicate that things aren’t good on a team front. Most of this is coaching related.

i Liked having to travel to away games around Melbourne. Some of those suburbs I’ve never been to again since clubs moved to G or Dome.

What a grim afternoon at the footy. Really struggling to take any positives from that one.

Taranto was good again I guess? Big Samson showed a bit, Rioli tried to provide run all day without much help. That's about where it ends.

Ryan wasn’t more competitive than the other two. Soldo did ok at the start but ran out of legs.

The fact that we played him straight up tells me everything we think of the other two as rucks.
 
Embarrassing is the first word that comes to mind. No game plan, poor effort and lamentable decision making & skill execution. What has happened to this team.

To me it’s a combination of ageing stars who are badly out of form; poor fitness levels across the entire group; young players not knowing if they’re good enough; and a disconnect in how we want to play. It’s a mess. Not sure where to from here.

First thing I’d do though is encourage them to take game on. Too static and slow at the moment.

Many of the posters on here have been Tiger supporters of more than forty years and have seen the good and the bad so like any supporter whatever the sport are entitled to complain about a player, a team, an game plan etc. Players will be bagged one week for a shocking game and lauded the next for an outstanding game. It is a fact of life but doesn't mean they are bad supporters, just supporters letting off steam. To say they are not passionate supporters is unfair as they will always turn up to watch and critique the team come rain, come sun, come a good game and come a bad game. Footy and club support will always be about passion for the club and will come out in differe5ways depending on circumstances

Next week. Is this the match where we let the players off the leash with all instructions (which may be confusing the hell out of them and stifling their creativity) and just tell them to take it on. If you’re close to goal have a shot. If you’re coming out of the backline go down the guts. Maybe a bit more selfish play rather than dinky 15-20m kicks when you are within 40m out. Could we do any worse? It is WC who are just as crap this year.
 
Anyone else remember this situation and these posts by us supporters through 2016?

WTF was Miller doing in the ruck (at centre bounces) by this I mean he was running around the umpire to get to the ruck contest. Witts was doing as he pleased. FFS it frustrated me all game.

It’s a footy forum mate and we just got belted by a crap team, have been *smile* all year. Let people vent, this is the right place to do it.
