There’s something to this. Something has happened. We’ve gone from near flag favourites to the worst team in the comp in a 2 game window. That doesn’t happen without some sort of impetus.

I’ve never seen anything like this in all my years of watching football. It’s unfathomable how bad we are. We won a *smile* flag 16 games ago and now we’re putrid.

Yep, normally wouldn't be of this way of thinking as it just sounds "like a petulant child not getting their way", but the simple speed at which this capitulation has happened is very worrying to say the least.

If there is something that has happened and has contributed to this "over the cliff" demise, surely the fans deserve to know.

I have just the slightest different take... are some of our juniors not going in for the hard ball as they are used to (read expect) a Cotchin, Martin or Prestia already being there. It’ll take a bit of mindset to go... “oh, it’s me now”

We lost to the Gold Coast suns reserves in Melbourne folks. Clearly not with out best team. But they are bad. Real bad. And we lost. We don’t have depth. We need our best 22. We can compete if we have them available fit and firing. Otherwise we are cannon fodder. Bausch and Ross will not make it. RCD was awful tonight. Ditto CCJ.

Yes. We have seen enough to understand that "playing the kids" is NOT the backstop we always thought we had. At least we will be spoilt for choice of those who make way for our draft picks this year. Also, we are going to make a few "Hawthorn" decisions with our players who may be past a magnificent prime.

Yes we have ageing stars, and a couple of them are close to the end.

Prestia, Lambert, Balta, Soldo, Nankervis, Broad not playing.

Yeah it would be great if some of the kids coming through were better but they’re not; drafting isn’t an exact science. Were we going to be the best for 4 years and also have kids waiting in the wings who were going to be as good as the guys they’re replacing?

Hardwick always talks about the 2017 win over port as the turning point of the club into a top side.
Those 12 minutes against WC has been the turning point into an ordinary side.
We kicked 8 goals in 11 mintues against Essendon, we look like a side that can't score.
That loss has drain the blood out of the club..

Have some faith in the club that just gave you 3 premierships in 4 years, that well rebuild and do so successfully.
If its too much to cope with, I hear crochet may be something of interest for you.

All I can say is, thank goodness we have a good hand at this year’s draft because we don’t have much coming through. Ross is just about out the door, RCD ….been saying all along on his thread that people were getting way ahead of themselves re him…Naish he isn’t AFL standard not in a good team at least…CCJ … still wait and watch with him but if a good offer came along I’d look hard at it. Dow hasn’t had a chance. Martyn unclear. Miller can’t get a game. Garthwaite looks out the door.

Glad we’ve got 6 at the Draft.

Was nowhere near our worst in any of those 3 games. You put those performances all down to 1 player!! Crazy.

I'm sure others could post the same thing, with your favourite player in it.

Dimma claiming it’s the best the Suns have played all year is the icing on the cake. They were average. It was an error riddled awful game. That was not a defeat at the hands of a good opposition.

Umpiring has been diabolical, killing momentum both ways

Really over-umpired game. A free paid from almost every contest. many there; many quite flimsy; our guys often pinged for arm-chops when we actually punched the ball. But we DO give away a lot of dumb ones.

Why are looking for exterior excuses for the way we are playing.
99% of the players wouldn't give a *smile* what Hardwick does in his private life.

Crap game all night & winners are grinners. Big ask for our new chums but they juust aint ready for it. Rioli cannot get a game which makes you just wonder who is picking the side. Pies after a new coach with a proven trrack record . Three available Dimma, Alistair & Ross. We might get lucky.

Yes - if looks like some of the kids we have might end up as good role players but none look top shelf. Seasons stuffed now - need to sort out who stays and who goes in remaining rounds.
