GAME DAY Tiges v Suns

CJ missing in action this game but he's proven already he has alot more going for him than Chol. I must have missed all that good play in the forward line. Took a mark and missed a simple shot at goal, that's it.
I think we can use both with Nank. We have 3 different ruckmen, use Chol, CCJ & Nank in rotation along side Lynch and Jack. I think our major problem as last year is the centre take aways. we need to fix this ASAP to have any chance this year. Next year is different, with the spare round one pick, we may land a good quality centre man.

Herein lies the problem. Playing the kids means we will lose many games. Prematurely retiring the champs is soul destroying.
The problem is, even the alleged not injured champs are ATM down on performance so do we continue with them underachieving or blood the kids that show real promise? Our season looks gone so the latter seems the best option

Not what I saw. Chol was winning ruck contests in the 1st half, but was let down by our mids. Wasn't as good in the ruck in the 2nd half, but that should surprise no-one, he's our 3rd string part-time ruckman. Was taking marks and providing contests in the 2nd half. That's his job but he also roves and is good by foot. He missed an easy shot. But then both our superstar forwards missed even easier ones, so I can't smack him too hard for that. Chol's alright. CCJ looked like a shadow of the kid we saw a few weeks ago. He was having an absolute mare. Getting monstered in the ruck and couldn't hold his marks. I'm a have your cake and eat it type (what is point of having a cake you don't eat anyway?) so I'd love to keep them all. But I really think Chol has the goods, even just the improvement in his competing in general. You have to reward guys who get dropped, learn what they need to do, and then do it. Think Jake Aarts, K-Mac. Chol is improving, that's huge in my opinion.

Personally I thought Chol was much better in the 2nd half, I gave him a vote. But let's not sugar coat this. He was up against a guy Burgess 191cm and 82kg and Chol won the hitouts 25 to 24. Most hitouts Burgess has ever had before is 8. If you can't dominate at 10cm taller and 10kg heavier what hope do you really have? Chol will be gone at the end of the year imo, he just isn't good enough. As it turns out CJ was struggling to make it for the game and broke down.. Gamble didn:t pay off. CJ is 2.5 years younger than Chol and has only played 5 games. Plenty of upside. Chol has shown time and time again what he can do. Goes missing way too much.

I wonder if CCJ went into the game with a niggle.

So we don’t play Miller (yeah I know I’m banging on about it), do play an underdone ccj and expect Chol, the dopiest excuse for a ruckman to cover down back. Someone has lost his *smile* and is not thinking straight.

Losing Rob Innes (our strength and conditioning coach) to Sydney has been a massive loss.
