GAME DAY Tiges v Suns

no. End of era.
You don’t slowly decline from an era.
You fall off the cliff, as history has shown.
No difference with us
We have to rebuild

two sides to this :

1) something has happened. if so, it'll come out. always does.

2) we have been vulnerable all year. caught the dogs on a bad night for them but otherwise never got going. players cooked, rookies still too raw. and now, as the winter wears on, the rolling juggernaut comes to a sighing halt.

I'm gonna go with 2. new rules and a drop off in intensity hasn't helped either.

The link in all 3 games is McIntosh
His first half against Wc.
His game last week and tonight.
You can't constantly play a footballer because he can cover 20 kms. He can't mark, he can't kick he is useless.
I would trade him for a 3rd rounder

Was nowhere near our worst in any of those 3 games. You put those performances all down to 1 player!! Crazy.

I'm sure others could post the same thing, with your favourite player in it.

I am struggling to find who were are best today but no problem finding the worst. The last two games shows how badly we have lost our way. The whole team seem disinterested

Yeah I think he's now potentially starting to impact our ability to bring the young kids through. We need to see if some of our kids can play mid. RCD has shown it at times. People writing Dow off in the 3rd quarter is crazy, needs more game time, need to see if Martyn can play, Stack, Mansell etc. All these guys we need to know what they can do.
I tend to agree, but I bet if we played them all at once, and lost badly, as we would with that line up, we’d be accused of tanking and the flogs at AFLHQ would find a way to make it stick and punish us for it.

He's throwing himself in same as always, but it's not effective. He's not winning the ball out of turn and when he does, his disposal is sloppy.
Fair enough. I'm seeing an end of an era, way to soon, b

Look, it's a whole-club malaise and if it's something that can be fixed, maybe he can rebound. But there seems to be a dark cloud over the club.
I totally agree, in saying that, we all know, dynasties never last for ever. :cupgold

Yeah its probably a culmination in everything. Short pre-season, aging list. Probably were planning on rotating the older guys but early losses and injuries halted this. Add to that, some players with not enough games, and others having form issues and it seems everything comes down on them all at once. At some point when you cut yourself enough, you can't halt the bleeding.

He's been pretty bad in the last month. Maybe only Castagna been consistently worse of experienced players in that time. Imo of course.

It was better but he is as lazy as *smile*.
He never defends.
His efforts behind the ball was horrendous
Appealing to the umpires for a free kick while your opponent runs right past you with the ball in the last quarter should be grounds to be dropped alone. One good game every 5 or 6 isn't good enough

If they come for CCJ, I'd take the deal. I could be wrong, and not just based on tonight, but not a future star.

Ross and Naish delist.

We lost to the Gold Coast suns reserves in Melbourne folks. Clearly not with out best team. But they are bad. Real bad. And we lost. We don’t have depth. We need our best 22. We can compete if we have them available fit and firing. Otherwise we are cannon fodder. Bausch and Ross will not make it. RCD was awful tonight. Ditto CCJ.

No one likes losing but a lot of people wanting to throw the baby out with bath water atm.
Our best 2 rucks out isn't helping and having kids play out of position isn't ideal either but getting games into them will hold us in good stead.
Our Midfield is our Achilles heal atm and I cant see much changing until that's addressed.
Last but not least the umpires, well the can go get fornicated !

suddenly look dreadful.

This plus no Leppa, Fly or Innes.
