GAME DAY Tiges v Suns

That was a massacre. Should have been at least 6-7 goal beating. To the team that lost to North last week. 2 weeks in a row we got absolutely smashed by ordinary football sides. I'm more shocked than angry.

Martin doesn't look like he could give a crap. If I was paid $1 million a year to stink it up each week in the office I'd be sacked.

Jack is going ok. 5th in the Coleman right now. Do you wear one of those I'm with stupid T-shirts with the arrow pointing up?

Houli and Astbury are finished in my eyes.

Cotch is showing that he can't play full time midfield any longer. He's gone from that. Either needs a reset to another position or it may be the end.
Skipper is/has had his time in the middle. Needs another role {preferably fwd).

There’s something to this. Something has happened. We’ve gone from near flag favourites to the worst team in the comp in a 2 game window. That doesn’t happen without some sort of impetus.

I’ve never seen anything like this in all my years of watching football. It’s unfathomable how bad we are. We won a *smile* flag 16 games ago and now we’re putrid.

we are rooted riddles.

4 years of intense chaos and weve hit the wall

stuffed, buggered, tired, over it, been there, out steam, cant be *smile*.

when dusty loses multiple 1:1's, its clear.

but jeez, what a side. What an era. What a *smile* ride of a lifetime.

Is it just the last 2 games?

I am wondering why Leppa left now, said he'd had enough of footy life, but his name comes up a lot in regards to coaching. He even commentates as though he has no connection at all with us.
Good points there.

forgive me if there are a few hot takes in here but:

Jack Riewoldt - Treacle - can we carry that anymore?

Dustin Martin - Must be carrying. Gotta be.

Trent Cotchin - Kicked quickly on the break in the last quarter. Knew he'd be caught. Can't play outside no more. For the first time I think he's done.

Shai Bolton - Flashes in and out. The good is brilliant but the poor is unfocused, almost arrogant.

Dylan Grimes - Something is eating him this year. No confidence.

Nick Vlastuin - Injury, lack of continuity, increasingly prone to head knocks, lack of discipline.

Liam Baker - Kicking isn't VFL standard at the moment. Yep, that's actually a big problem.

Marlion Pickett - Takes VFL seconds to decide what to do with the pill. Yep, that's a problem too.

Patrick Naish - Was going to leave him out but he HAD to stick that tackle. If that's his weakness, he can't play.

Jake Aarts - Dumb VFL footballer. There, I've said it.

Kamdyn McIntosh - Kicking is far too agricultural for 2021 football.

George Castagna - See Kamdyn McIntosh

Bashar Houli - Cannot impact with speed, fluency and penetration anymore. Sadly, cooked.

Jack Ross - Just not an AFL footballer.

Riley Collier-Dawkins - Far too flat-footed tonight. Needs to get on his bike.

Jack Graham - Gap between the good and the bad is too far. Needed to help carry the midfield tonight but didn't. Not in my best 22 for 2022 at this point.

As you can see, this is the core of the team. We're done. I wouldn't be trading any picks away for ready-made top-ups. If we don't make finals we are officially in the refresh category.
Usually like your stuff.
On the money with a couple but only last week you were confident of a turnaround.
Chin up.

I think the guys just know within themselves it's over. And when you've won 3, injuries every other week, screwed By the umpires in key moments, it just becomes a battle to get up and run and run and run.
We kept the band together, probably at the point of some hurt. Retiring Houli last year and keeping Markov may have helped. But we need to get games into mids. Cotchin is toast. I love him. But he's done. The decline has been coming slowly (keep in mind it took ages to get his body right as a junior), but its acceleration is now going to beat him unless he calls time quickly.
Jack, he's only staying because he's taken a pay cut to keep others. Otherwise, he's gone too.
We need to refresh. Rebuild. Our time has come. I'll miss it.

Belllis on Fox. Can see he still loves out club and is almost guilty that he beat us.

Also can't help but think that he might have staked a claim for skipper if he was still around.

One of my fave ex tiges is Bellis. Love the guy and would have him back in a heartbeat

Nothing to do with West Coast game. Signs were there long before that. 1 win against top 8. Our guns are now too old. No opportunities for youngster during the era. In a way I wish we weren't a finals chance so we would blood more youngsters.

God I hope we beat Pies next game even if it's the only game we win for the rest of the year.

The Good - Lynch, getting some legs into the kids

The Bad - Aarts, Castagna, a depleted backline with many past their use by dates

The Ugly - Disposal, Hunger, The Richmond Way.

No expectations now for the rest of the year, be competitive, no more severe injuries and get some miles into these kids.
