People we're saying Cumberland is not ready he hasn't offered more the George or Aarts or Sonsie come in today did a job , Ryan was performing yet we keep playing Soldo freshen up the side not go back to the same well that's failing.
Did Ryan play VFL? I don't think so. I thought this game would have been a great opp for him. Hope he's not injured.

I have been to almost all the games too this year; and the lack of leadership on field is stunning. Individually, Cotch has it in spades of course. Individually players like Jack Graham have it (and its one of the reasons I was impressed with Jack Ross in the Geelong game; he stood up) - and the 2 x captains are trying. But its deeper; we dont have that relaxed mindfulness, emma murray, deep breathing spirit and cohesion we saw in earlier years. The cohesion in the group isnt deeply there.
This is not a reaction to yesterday. It's been all year. And frankly, parts of last year too.
What I see is a bunch of individual players on the ground. Sure, every so often, they get together to congratulate juddy on his 1st goal or MRJ on a tackle, but its so obviously not the same as 2017-20.
Our game plan forward of D50 is totally *smile*. Sorry, Posh, I know you wrote there is a system - I dont agree. Every game at the ground I watch for our system. Every so often there's some nice play out of D50 that involves Broad or D Rioli. But from the wings, we have no system for easy marking or spotting players in the F50. none at all. It *smile* me to tears.
Coaching, coaching, preparation during the week, teaching, development. Failing on all fronts.
I love Benny but there's some laziness or hubris seeping into the club big time. On and off the field.

Add it to the Dusty one playing all of half a game at his usual level this year n Lamblett trying to play crippled, plus Jaaack n Cotch fading with age and that's your core of premium elite seniority struggling to impact n control games.
Just a massive year of pushing more games into some good young talent n setting them up to become our future.
Despite the swathes of negative commentary, the main reason we lost is because one team converted their opportunities & yet again we failed to.

Nah. We get their first pick in round two of the draft, currently pick 19 not their priority pick. Need Wet Coke to pull the finger out n win another game or two or our pick will start to ease up the ladder.
Yep I had a sub-par week at work last week so told HR not to pay me. The company really appreciated it.
Ben Millers first goal, a cracker, and two players ran to him. When that happened I was like jeez.
When you just bomb the ball in from outside 50 it doesn't really mean much, particularly as we, and therefore the opposition play an extra player back. I'd be interested to see the stats of percentage of times we've aimed for a forward target inside 50 rather than just bomb it anywhere or on top of their heads.
Not sure about that. We kicked 11 goals 22 behinds. So maybe had 33% chance of winning.
That's the crux of it. 12.2 to 8.16 at 3/4 time. Shouldn't have even been a contest.

It's not as if they were hard shots on goal - we kicked 1.9 from inside 30 metres.
