Game Day-Scratch match Tiges v Norf

Only a scratch match, but I reckon we've found one in Seth Campbell.
I’ll go out on a limb here.
Seth Cambell will leapfrog quite a few of our recent highly rated draftees.
Time and composure.
He’s a bona fide talent

Agree - Just need to keep him away from the Tassie team now. Sign him up Blair

How did he make it to the rookie draft?

FFS - how many times did our boys come out of a scuffle with the ball only to have the wankers blow a free the other way just as we were taking off.... This 4th umpire is going to screw us royally

Plenty of good and interesting posts on the practice match. Thank you to all.
Perhaps some players didn't perform as well as liked, but others stepped into the fray, which was a real positive.
All in all, what I'm really enjoying at the moment is the appearance of depth. Good coverage in a variety of positions, as others have commented. Dimma has a lot of magnets to shift about before round one.
If selection for round one is based on pre-season effort and form (but I know there are so many other factors that go into selecting a team) then we might see a couple of new faces, over and above the obvious in Tarranto and Hopper.
Reckon the Tigers are going to have a very good season with a list that bats beyond best 23.

Maybe Dimma didn't mind too much the umpiring as it was.
Players have to deal with this sort of frustration so as not to lose focus on the end result.
Yeah, umpiring standards may be low or poor at times (we all know that) but it is what it is.
The next contest is the one to win.

If Miller doesn't do anything early this year, I will be gutted.
Tall & good hands perfect chance to break into best 22.

We still cop alot of goals, off the back of packs with high balls coming inside our back 50.
10 jump no-one stands down
I thought they would've learnt from our last game last year.
Absolutely true. Our deep defensive ground ball stuff is poor. Hopefully Bakes helps this. Not sure Short will

Big call, T-Man ... but I like your enthusiasm. What a genius of a player Stewart was. If Seth is half, even quarter as good ( that's how highly I rate our premiership #2) then the Tigers' have got themselves a player.

What're the umpires paying the free kicks for? Maybe they're targeting another part of our gameplay

Never ending frustration. I'd like to see how Cumbo's chase was a DTG free.

Has my man Sam Banks had a run?
Yeah probably the disappointment of the 2nds game. Got caught twice; looked off the pace and hardly touched it. On the other hand Dow, Soldo and Cumbo dominated

Impressed with Clarke - shows some zip with his class.
Mansell a gentle reminder that he can play.
Brown settled well as the game went on.
Ryan a couple of good grabs.

This is what I was hoping to see - we won’t go anywhere if these types don’t apply the pressure on our older stars.

Martin is back baby and maybe Tarantino wanted to make a statement - together these two that’s the difference between top 4 and top 8 I reckon.

My only disappointment was the number of frees Nank gives away, specially at the centre clearances.

Clean bill of health is a tick also.

Very early days but Taranto flying. Hopper very much less so.

ALso who is the bloke doing the commentary. Quite like him. Doing a good job.

I reckon Hops copping the wrong end of the stick.

Totally different roles.

Taz the lead singer, running out front of stoppage, playing dusty.

hops on bass, out back of stoppages, playing Jack Graham.

I thought he was great.

Agree taz looked absolute top tier

Seth campbell has that same footballer look that Bakes had.

I reckon hes probably only behind Gibbo and judson clarke in the 21/22 queue after that assured hour or so???

Has anyone kept count of the frees?
The dumpires surely hate the black and yellow.
Wife reckons there was about 40 to North.
Only a practice game I know but not a lot to enthuse about.
We were playing the bottom side from last year and could only win by 2 points.
Compare this effort to the one by the Cats.
Like chalk and cheese.
