Why didn't Hardwick play Griff and Conca in Round 23 to give them match time and to test out their injury concerns BEFORE the biggest match of the season? ???
One started as the sub yesterday and the other was subbed out.
Two young players have been affected by this decision.
Our gameplan changed as a result.
Diabolical!

the most diabolical selections choices in decades by any club....an absolutley pathetic selection...drop two inform small fowards for two average players,at best, neither of whom can kick, neither of whom have had any recent match fitness...we lost the game thursday night..without those changes we would of won..

i agree, Lloyd and Lennon were in really good form.
Griffiths they pick because they were worried about height...wtf
play McBean or Hampson (at least they were fit)

minblowingly ridiculous and dangerous selections....worst selection table made by a football club in decades

If they were worried about height, why not bring in a defender or play Griff down back?

Griff played forward for no return.
What was Conca's role supposed to be?
He is neither quick nor a goal sneak.
At least should have had Lloyd as a sub. At least!

If it is not the captain kicking into a gale force wind - Its the coach picking 2 very under done players into a game

So now you can kick a player and only cop a fine......dead set disgrace .......if the dog he is does that Grimes should have been able to make him eat soup for 6 weeks. Can't believe that split second accidents can cost you weeks an dog acts get nothing

For real? Kicking is now worth a fine? Peter Filandia would get a pat on the back these days.

He didn't really kick him. The intent was there, but it was more of a push to the chest with his boot. Grimes accentuated it by throwing his head back. Don't get me wrong Thomas is a dog and the class of the competition will be improved the day he retires.

also havent seen it mentioned, although it probably has been....not that we deserved to win anyway.
but wasnt there a clear holding the ball with 5mins to go, 20m out from Tigers goal that wasnt paid.

if paid and goalled, we would have been back in front, instead they basically went coast to coast and Thomas goalled to be 10 up with 4 to play.

It was the great non decision. No one, apart from the umpire, doubted that it was a free and it should have been paid. It was clear.

kicking is what you are meant to do to the ball not a guys chest. even if it was a 'push'.

look, we were done yesterday, but that free kick changed a lot. critical wrong decision. instead of 2 up, we were 10 behind. Huge.

Free kick aside vickery ran into what should of been an open goal if he didn't want to kick it had the handball on to the square. Instead of scoring a goal its a point norf go up the other end game over

Noticed Chocco trying to gee up the crowd before the last quarter started.
The chant had started then just dropped out.

You think the players don't need a chant to get them over the line, personally I think we did our part pity the players and coaches didn't come to the party.

Old man Harvey seemed to think all the noise was for Norf.

The most disappointing aspect of the loss is that we had so many of our best players have such poor games yet we were still a chance with less than 10 to go . Usually one or two may be down not the 5 or six that we had .

Yes....hard to fathom that we could be so close when so so many of our key players had almost career worst games ...doesn't really say much for North really.....

To me, this underlined that we are clearly the better side. Not when it counted, alas :(

Wow just saw yesterday's stats for both team and individuals ... there could have only been one result
