Yes I know, but blowing a lead isn't all about conceding but about scoring when the other side is dominating. Thats where the lead was blown today. They were always going to get a run on, seriously is anyone saying that with Witts, Rowell, Anderson and Miller that you didn't expect them to get on top of our depleted midfield at times in the 2nd half? It was always going to happen, but we needed to be ruthless going the other way and kick goals. We had shots in exactly the place we would want to (the corridor and close to goal) but we butchered them.
We essentially lost that lead, because we couldn't maintain kicking a score ourselves, not only because they scored goals against us, that part was always going to happen, but we needed to be good enough to kick goals but we missed so many goals. George - 3 or 4, Aarts - 1 or 2, MRJ - 1, Pickett - 1, Cumberland 1 or 2.
See what I mean. They reigned in 40 points, and we missed somewhere around 7-10 goals that you would expect them to get. The 40 point lead could have been maintained, regardless of what we ended up conceding, it was our inability to hit back the other way with the chances that we got, that enabled them to close that 40 point lead.
