Game Day - Geelong V Richmond

Watch the 2017 QF, 2019 PF and 2020 GF tonight and all will be well in the world again.

Let them have their umpire gifted 3pt win and we'll see these campaigners in September when we're at full strength. Nothing surer that they will *smile* the bed again

Don't look at the 26 free kicks Geelong got. Have a look at the 10-12 free kicks we didn't get.
That skinny blond prick has bent us over before.

True but at 17pts in front, you go on with it. Great fight back, crucified by disgraceful umpiring (which was incompetent really), but we just have to win. Of course you don’t fold & get flogged - who wants to play sport like that.
Bit harsh. Games ebb and flow. Could say 35 points in front in the second Cats should have gone on with it. Less rotations for most of the game, we lifted our game with pressure, we did amazingly.

We took too long to get going today & not playing two rucks from the start was a huge selection error. Until halfway through the second, we looked flat & poor at the contest.

Ironically the gutless act which took Prestia out gave us two rucks which then helped right the clearance issue. Great fight back but we just needed to win.

I don't think we make the top 4 with that draw. Can't see us winning every game which is what we need to do. Suns, Dockers, and Lions are close to 50/50 games. Port grows a leg against us in Adelaide so that is close to 50/50 as well. Can't see us winning all of those games. We need to smash Eagles, North, Hawks and Druggies and get 2-3 wins out of the others to get 5th or 6th and a home final first week.

I think top 4 is gone and obviously winning from outside is very difficult as the record shows. We will rue the Swans, Saints, Blues and Crows losses. Probably even tonight.

Dockers and Lions are here. Both proven this week they're not strong enough at both grounds. I reckon only Port could be a loss.

It’s going to be tough Riddles.

We win even 2/5 we are % off top 4 but now fighting to remain in the 8 by rounds end.

Often when we kicked long to a contest deep in F50, the ball spilled over the back and we NEVER seemed to have a small forward their to swoop. But the Cats ALWAYS seemed to have Stewart there to mop up. Did anyone else notice that, or am I making it up?

Any coach press conferences up anywhere yet? I rarely watch them but I will tonight.

remind how radically different the position he played in today was?

He certainly appeared to be far more involved in the middle (6 clearances kind of gives that away). Has been playing the 3rd wing role with Kmac and Pickett for most of the year.

The out of posi line is overstated IMO
