Game Day - Geelong V Richmond

Then we need to bash Stewart next time we play the Salties

I'd love to play them in the GF again, and whichever of our players know they are retiring, can be given free reign to give Dangerfield / Stewart their comeuppance.

Well what we know from tonight - the handbaggers are still pretenders. If that game was played 100 times over - we would win 99 of em.

I'm just devastated. Blown a 17 point last quarter lead.
Story of our year in our losses.

Once we’re the last quarter specialists now the last quarter …..

Half those losses and we are firmly entrenched in the top 4.

Now we are in the bottom half in danger by the end of the round being outside the top 8 with a draw that isn’t a ‘fait accompli’ and some would have you believe.

We don’t get Prestia , Cotchin or Balta in the next 2-4 weeks and Lambert who we have to put a line through.

WC @ MCG
Suns @ MS
North @ Marvel
Dockers @ Marvel
Lions @ MCG
PA @ AO
Hawks@ MCG
Essendon @ MCG

Minimum to make it I feel is to win our last 6/8. 8 would be unbelievable but I have a sick feeling as I had after our heartbreak loss to WC in Perth last year.

Our season fell apart.

Players have to believe. We have been in every game this year and led them all in the last bar the Melbourne game.

The players shouldn’t fear any team. Full list we will trouble any side including Melbourne.

But unless we address the last quarters and find some better method going forward and midfield help it could unravel next week.

It’s not over. Today is tough though!

Loosing so close with half the free kicks and our general on field coach without champion and our best player prestia, along with Balta ,and 6 goals down to a inform geelong shows we are right in this,we gain so much from this .
In cotch,stack, castanya
Out prestia,clarke,mj sub

Of course the courageous fightback counts. Would you rather we'd folded and got flogged? Losing sucks, but how you lose matters.
True but at 17pts in front, you go on with it. Great fight back, crucified by disgraceful umpiring (which was incompetent really), but we just have to win. Of course you don’t fold & get flogged - who wants to play sport like that.

At the End of the day I’d say if we make finals there is no reason we can’t win the whole thing again.

I never believe umpires cheat , however it is a farce , that is right a F A R C E , how can we lost the free kicks every week and today we get doubled , for me it’s making the modern game even more frustrating, how the hell can we lose so many 50/50s .

Our games rules are embarrassing a once great game
Exactly.
Watching the Melb vs the Lions when it was brutal, tough hardly any frees paid, like a final, nearly everyone in the media was celebrating the way the game was umpired.

You cant justify today. The Cats got 100% more frees than us.

Let’s see how the media ‘respond’ to this and the ‘Prestia’ knockout and ‘no stop in play’.

Whateley and his cohorts will tick it off.

I don’t know what Dimma said in his presser or what the commentators said at the conclusion of the game.

That's 2 games this season (tonight and Sydney) decided by abysmal umpiring.

Chin up tiges.

Prestia plays tonight and we get 3 different impartial umpires, we win.

Enjoy being booed for the rest of your career Stewart you sniping dog carnt.

I don't buy the game in our keeping thing. We were out on our feet, rolling the dice and hoping for the best. A lot had to go right, and not everything did.
That ball should have been killed which was marked by Henry. It was two grabs at it and we had two defenders there.

Had to be punched.
