Game Day - Geelong V Richmond

The out of posi line is overstated IMO

Why?

he has been playing wing for most of the season. He's a defensive midfielder, we play Graham and Cotch as our 2 defensive mids. Cotch was out, so Ross slotted into that role well.

Not sure what you are getting at here.

Starting the Stewart is a good bloke and looked remorseful line. Wonder how Des Tuddenham would have gone with that one?

Elaborate please, I don't understand what you're saying.
I didn't and still don't buy the line that Ross was only being held back by being played out of posi. its ridiculous IMO. For a stack of reasons that have been discussed by me and others on his thread.

I don't think we make the top 4 with that draw. Can't see us winning every game which is what we need to do. Suns, Dockers, and Lions are close to 50/50 games. Port grows a leg against us in Adelaide so that is close to 50/50 as well. Can't see us winning all of those games. We need to smash Eagles, North, Hawks and Druggies and get 2-3 wins out of the others to get 5th or 6th and a home final first week.

I think top 4 is gone and obviously winning from outside is very difficult as the record shows. We will rue the Swans, Saints, Blues and Crows losses. Probably even tonight.
Yep virtually no chance. Had to keep winning. Effectively 3 games behind 2nd to 4th (due to percentage) with 8 games to go. I can't see us winning all the games and 1 of those 3 winning no more than 5. Carlton are in the best position to grab one of those spots.

Big fight for the 8. 6 possibly 7 teams in a position to grab 6th to 8th.

Just had a look at the Geelong BF board. Geez they are bunch of arrogant *smile*. It's like they've already forgotten 2017,2019,2020 when we beat them in all 3 finals series to win the flag.

But the worst is they acknowledge Stewart's weak act but basically thank him for it as the 4 points are worth it. What a pathetic bunch of arsewipes.

Disappointed in the result but not the team. They gave everything in a hot contest & adverse circumstances, running out of gas at the end. Bring that effort to the remaining games & we'll be ok.

Our best is good enough, just need to sustain it for long enough. Playing 1 short for 3.5 qtrs ultimately cruelled us.

Chins up & go again next week.

Hardwick was to soft and too nice
He shouldve unleashed.
Dimma and some players are too brainwashed with spin now, along with comments they can't make due to this communist league we play under. Tiring.

When Dimma's pressers last 6 minutes or less, you know he's p!ssed off.

Dimma's press conference isn't on the AFL site. I think it's going straight to the AFL's Only Fans account.
Its on our website. And he gave away little.
How's Chris Scott questioning our swap of Soldo and Hugo as if weve done something illegal. Dimma was asked about it and see his reaction.

The guy is a *smile* *smile*,

Shoot the prick and put him out of his misery
Nah, it's all good Willo.

AFL umpiring escapes scrutiny, assessment, accountability or review.

Umpire number 12 is well within his rights to ONLY pay free kicks to Geelong (which he did) and will be signed off as perfect by the AFL.

No other sport in the world has issues with rules and officiating standard like AFL.

Total clusterfark

It's far from ridiculous. The positions are like chalk and cheese, I've played them both, although you don't really have to have played it to understand the substantial difference. Ross is an inside midfielder, we all know that. His best position is not wing, which he has by the way done admirably considering he only recently learnt the position. All Ross's best games have been in the middle.

That's 2 games this season (tonight and Sydney) decided by abysmal umpiring.

Chin up tiges.

Prestia plays tonight and we get 3 different impartial umpires, we win.

Enjoy being booed for the rest of your career Stewart you sniping dog carnt.
Out of character for Stewart he seemed to show some remorse. Looked bad at the time but I don't believe he meant to take him out, accidents do happen. Remember Houli?
