Game Day - Geelong V Richmond

Great courage to fight back. Poor decision making in the last cost us. Pathetic umpiring a factor but the game was ours to win.

We needed old Dustin and old Jack.

So many poor decisions and skill errors, no doubt due to extreme fatigue after busting a boiler to get back in the game.

Riewoldt could have hand balled to Rioli instead of trying to sell the candy; Pickett twice tried to thread the needle into forward 50 when that’s not his skill set and there was too much congestion anyway so should have just taken the shot at goal; Rioli’s disposal to no one etc. And all at critical moments.

The boys must be gutted.
can't have that on Pickett. would have lost by 5 goals without him.

Umpires were woeful, but we lost it ourselves.
yep, take it out of the umpires hands, we lost it in the first quarter. I was really impressed with our performance after that dog act on Prestia. We smashed them for most of the second half but I'd say losing a small for a tall early in the game was the difference. I just don't know who was on Stengle, he gave them a lot, I guess that's our game plan, run forward hard, run back hard and Stengle is a smart player. Geelong and Swans, what could have been. Could drop to 9th possibly 10th by the end of the round.

Correct Posh.
They scored a goal when we were a man down being helped by trainers.

Game SHOULD HAVE STOPPED.

Scott P*ss off.
Umpires. They can influence the outcome of games. We got unrewarded yet they got frees in their half of the ground.

Gutted. Really am. Dislike the Cats.

Next week becomes a really important game. I hoping this and the Swan’s game doesn’t derail our season.

Last quarter fade-outs and not just getting that extra goal could mean the difference to making top 4.

Stewart. No need to say anything. Over to you MRO & AFL.

Coward Stewart should go straight to the tribunal, MRO DO YOUR JOB.

Have to be proud of the boys, to fight back under such adversity was a great effort.

Unfortunately we have again lost a game that was ours for the keeping though.

Frustrating.

Reminds me of the loss to Geelong at KP, last time we played there, maybe ever, in 2017. It felt like a moral victory, and that was when I first thought we could win the flag.

At the End of the day I’d say if we make finals there is no reason we can’t win the whole thing again.

I never believe umpires cheat , however it is a farce , that is right a F A R C E , how can we lost the free kicks every week and today we get doubled , for me it’s making the modern game even more frustrating, how the hell can we lose so many 50/50s .

Our games rules are embarrassing a once great game

We won the free kick count for the last 3 but today umps were at their devastating best. Order restored.

Not saying he didn’t stand up; had a couple of important moments in the last Qtr where he could have made a smarter decision with the ball heading into forward 50

I don't buy the game in our keeping thing. We were out on our feet, rolling the dice and hoping for the best. A lot had to go right, and not everything did.

Many costly errors. And 5 min locked in our forward line at end of 3rd quarter to only score 2 points.

Why was there 50 open like a summer house and our 50 clogged up like a prison quadrangle

When free kicks are not paid we can't win. We use more energy than other teams in tackling and it's barely rewarded. Last week was paid, this week not. These umpires are way to subjective and individualised.

I also want to know why Lynch plays dumb everytime the heat comes on. Duz has to lift bad because he's too far behind in form.

The problem is that we have old Dustin and old Jack. In their prime they would have taken the game apart.

Can't wait to see the Dees tear that mob of mercenaries a new one in the finals
Maybe the Tigers will have the pleasure of ending them for a 4th time.

Makes it sweeter.

What's worse is these wankers get to play Norf next week and consolidate.
