FYI 2019 Grand Final - RFC Priority Groups/AFL Grand Final Ticketing

Our issue is exactly the same. Carbon copy in fact. They said I have one of my memberships discounted hence why I cant be able to get 2 tickets. My argument was I purchase the MR and AFL memberships in isolation, and no one had ever told me this was the case. No communication at all. I then told them I had no issue with this in 2017. In which they then went on to say the rules have changed. Yet again no communication. I have now escalated this and am waiting for a call back.

if someone can tell me how to copy and past a post it would be great

Thanks for escalating it
I will be interested to hear what they say
After all i have done for this club to have the N1-5 fiasco at the beginnng of the year and now this - terrible!
If they had sent ALL of the AFL Gold club support members an email well before the registration and made it clear then ok but they did not
They could not even tell me if the "change "occurred last year when we made a preliminary
Looks like they have been inundated with this issue. Standard line has been trotted out. They know they have ballsed it up.

Those waiting for the 2nd GF ticket sale event might be interested to know that ticketek is currently selling GF tickets to GWS members right now and will continue to do so until 5pm.

I tried to access the site just now, just to see what the overall demand for tickets was. It only took 15 seconds to let me in, meaning there's not loads of GWS members on there trying to get tickets.

I would suggest that quite a number of tickets will be made available to Richmond members that were in the ballot and missed out from 11am tomorrow.

I plan on checking for tickets again at 4.55pm today. if they are still available to GWs members at that time then that would suggest the remaining tickets will be sold to our members tomorrow morning.

Good luck.

smoking aces and others caught up in this same fiasco - is it worth writing an email about it to management if a few of us do ?
Not sure as earlier in the year we were not listened to at all

I've had a look at what is available this afternoon (via a friend's GWS membership screen) and I expect there will be a lot of tickets available tomorrow for us to pack the place out.

If you were in the ballot and missed out do you have to log onto ticketek to get a ticket or will they be allocated? How will they know if you were in the ballot?

There must be some good seats left - because its clear the RFC Priority allocations have taken most of the worst seats in the house. My comes with a restricted view - wonderful. I will say we were allocated great P1 seats in 2017 (Lv2 PRE). It feels like there are more P1s this time around and they have shoved us in worse areas - mainly Lv4 and standing room!

Seeing my tickets were up in the top deck of the Ponsford in 2017, I find this griping about this years allocation a bit self-centred. It's a ballot where everyone who is a Prio 1 gets an even chance with RFC's allotment (I assume, though I reckon some coiterie groups will get some special treatment). You win some, you come second in others.

I'm just glad I've been paying for the GF Guarantee and then MRC from Day 1 and it's finally paying dividends.

Happy days, M12 row A. If we win, it'll be high five with the lads.

Its amazing that the club doesn't change the platinum status (i know they upped it for this year).
Surely it should go Priority 1 guarantee first, then ALL platinum members next and finally ALL gold go to a ballot system. Every platinum member desrves to be there.

They knocked Platinum down because of the new Executive Groups suddenly appearing with GF Guarantee and also moving 3121 and Premiership Circle to accomodate.

I already did. Sent it yesterday and got a call back today. Still no resolution.

Mate non of it is self centered or a gripe at all. Its born out of Frustration.

I too have been paying the guarantee since the inception and have both times had top deck 10 rows from the back in Olympic Stand. This also applies to my mum who is in her 80's and partner just out of hospital.

We have reduced our family groups into 2 and 3's and not one of us (total of 6 groups) got anything on Levels 1, 2 or 3. All top decks

As I have previously posted its dumb stupid random luck, but certainly not fair given tomorrow Gold members unscuccessful in the ballot can swoop in and pick potentially the best seats in the house - yes pick. Again based on dumb luck because Collingwood lost.

GWS members onselling bacodes for the next 20 minutes to RFC members to grab prime seating before tomorrows leftovers makes me sick.

I've been paid up over 40+ years. Ive held RFC and AFL memberships all the way until financially I had to throw the AFL one out.

Not self centred, annoyed and frustrated.

Disgrace that AFL non competing members can just log on and get tickets, then on sell them for 1k each.
I cant find any tickets for sale.

I got my one in section 2A but been trying to get 2 others. No one has any for sale.
Any clues where?
