FYI 2019 Grand Final - RFC Priority Groups/AFL Grand Final Ticketing

Come on mate, UNSUCCESSFUL members in the BALLOT can swoop in and get the best seats in the house? What sort of seats do you really reckon are left, if you can in fact get them? And I don't consider the unsuccessful supporters in the ballot the lucky ones. You've got a ticket, stop complaining. Most of the good seats have gone to corporates.

Well given another few posters who logged in with friends GWS barcodes to get tickets and saw what categories were available........I beg to differ.

Do you honestly think its a level playing field when members who didnt even register get an opportunity to actually choose seats if any are left?

How am I complaining? I'm merely stating fact of how the ticketing worked based on presumed results and that many Priority 1 members would prefer to sit elsewhere.

Geez. Have a crack at someone who has done nothing but try and help people through the ticketing process.

It is a fact based on seats remaining that those unsuccessful in the ballot may have the opportunity to purchase better categories then those who have been allocated.

Enjoy your game mate.

RFC just sent out an email to all members who were successful in the ballot. No real new information though. Just when and how to collect and restating your tickets are your tickets and there is no provision to change what's been allocated.
One small thing is new in the email. If you happened to print your own tickets during the short window of time that Ticketek left that option open, don't try and use them, you should still collect your tickets from an outlet.
RFC email said:
Any ticket confirmation document or downloadable ticket will not allow you access into the MCG on Grand Final day.

Not having a crack or jumping in to argue.
Simple reason for those better quality seats being available for punters who missed out in the ballot.
GeeWhizz would have been allocated the same amount of and the same category levels of tickets as Richmond. Roughly 15,000 tickets covering all possible categories from category 7 standing to category 1 premium seats. Whatever seats are unsold will be made available for those that missed out in our original ballot. Our ballot would have been way over subscribed so some unfortunately got lumped with standing or nose bleed n can't get re allocated or up graded.
Not a chance in hell Tikitik is gunna spend a cent of their profits or an ounce of energy trying to appease anyone who's already got a ticket when they can simply on sell the leftover tickets for max profit to whoever blows in with a fist full of shekels.

I thought the secondary sale was just for Category 3 That missed out? I haven't seen anything that suggests it might go down to silver
You're right, my bad, it's for priority 3 members who missed out in the ballot and at noon priority 1,2,3 members who didn't go in the ballot can grab any leftovers.

I just logged on to Ticketek to check the link was working to buy tickets at 11am and it prompts for a GWS Members Barcode.

Surely it’s not still open for GWS Members to buy tickets? Why am I not surprised.

Just had a look, it's totally locked out now until 11am.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the AFL and Ticketbastard are continuing to extend the opportunity for the GeeWhizz ‘supporters’ to buy tickets.
This just proves the fact that they barely have enough fans to fill up a toilet.

We are hoping our teens get through today, and then send them up to our seats on the roof while we myopics take the lower seats we hope they can get today.

Do we have to do a seat exchange inside the ground or can adults slip through the gates on Concession tickets? (Our seats are in the Ponsford so likely to be a different gate for entry.)

Anyone know how to find your Ticketbastards customer/account ID number??

Stuffed if I can find it when I log into either their mobile or full site. Looked in My Account, account details, payment details etc, etc and nothing.

is it just gold members and above who can buy a ticket today. what about a 9 year silver member which my son is. can i get a ticket for him to attend from 12.00??

by the way i was just speaking to a colliwobble supporter who said all their members could register for their ballot. even 1 year members.
with us its 10 years and above......suppose thats what happens when you have 100k+ members but still doesnt seem fair does it that after 9 years you cant even go into the ballot..... (even worse when 15-20 year members dont get a ticket either)....

I'm in the same boat. 9 year Richmond member, to go with an MCC restricted member. No viable way for me to get a ticket unfortunately without paying through the nose via a scalper. The joys!

I will have to settle for the live site.

Absolute garbage the GWS members’ on sale kept going until 8pm....
AFL showing their contempt for traditional supporters yet again

what a FN disgrace. they've been here 2 minutes and giving them every chance. we've been here for 134 years and give us nothing. the contempt for traditional supporters is appalling

Good luck today everybody

are there any tickets available today? there has been no announcement...

Are the seats on level 1 M29 any good?

you can upgrade a concession ticket to an adult ticket through Ticketek.
You may not be able to do it until game day though at the Ticketek office at Gate 3

I see nothing wrong with the AFL giving GWS plenty of time to exhaust their allotment.

Blame the AFL for only releasing 34k tickets to the club members, not GWS.

All other members get a go at 12PM if there are any left over
