Hutchy says he knows what happened and reports it but then will not tell how he knows because he is protecting his source. Load of rubbish. Posters here are saying they have a source that confirms what has been said aqgain who is the source otherwise you are really just another anonymous internet forum account with no more credibility.

Those saying they have been told from a reliable source if it is true then surely the person who is giving the information should be sacked and by not revealing the the source then you are just as complicit as the leak/mole and yet you wioll tell us that you care for the club. Care for the club means what is best for the club and leaking information like a colander is not good for the club.

All Hutchy did was cover his arse for jumping the gun on Tuesday. I welcome anyone to prove me wrong and provide names as to how they came about their information but until they do this is all just a muck-raking excerise that has the potential to cause irreparable damage to the club if it hasn't already.

Newman should stay as captain - showed he has balls, isn't a yes man and did something to get rid of the dissaster that is Wallace. March and Cameron are to blame for letting it get to this.

After rd 11 the club should sack Wallace and enforce the caretaker to focus on developing kids and tanking this dissaster of a season.

The club is indecisive and always fails to see the big picture.

I think Wallet threw a big spanner into club plans last week by publicly vocalising his intentions to go the distance regardless of the consequences. Otherwise a round 11 transition would have been fairly seemless or Wallet would have ideally walked which most would have had the decency to if not attempting to rescusitate his reputation for quitting.

The playing group obviously can't bear the thought of him remaining and it spilled over.

Should March as Pres have come out and said something to combat Terry's remarks last week? Probably IMO.

Now we just have to stick to the plan however messy the next month gets otherwise we will be painted as a reactionary rabble as well and really scare off the potential replacements. :-\

If what Hutchy said about Newman and Johnson etc. is not fact (and he kept saying it is last night) then you would think that the said players would have some kind of legal recourse for having their names and reputations dragged through the mud. If someone made up stuff like that about me, I would certainly explore legal avenues to clear my name, or at least step forward and defend my honour. Stories like this can ruin players' careers.

Thus far, none of the "perpetrators" has come forward to defend himself. IMO this speaks volumes.

I don't like Hutchy...can't stand him in fact. He is an ambulance chasing, trash can searching gutter journalist. BUT, he would not have said what he said last night, with the conviction he had, without it being true IMO...the same with Caro. I believe what he said.

The real issue is who told them the story...who is the leak? This traitor should be frogmarched out of Punt Road and never be allowed to return.

I can absolutely see how this happened... clear lack of respect for TW and his position with Richmond (rightly or wrongly) across all levels, including in the public domain. I would never dream of approaching my manager with a request to step aside, but there's respect there.... it doesn't sound like there's anything left at Richmond right now. Very close media attention not helping at all.

Its not just Snatchy, its Caro and Mark Robinson all of whom appear to have got information separately.

I'd give Wallace a one year extension as soon as possible and tell him to clean up this mess, get rid of who ever he wants. We get a new coach the same, will happen down the line. No one wants to coach us anyway after the crap thats been going on. The players will get the message that the club doesn't take *smile* from players. I hear what you are saying and to a certain point agree. There is nothing more annoying than a single line statement with a wink on the end.

But in this case it's obvious quite a few people heard the same story and had details before the media reported it. I'm glad we got a little heads up because to have heard what was heard last night without any warning would have been a lot more painful.

The club is deluded and it has taken us being 1 and 7 and the recent events to finally open their eyes. How else can you explain us topping up our list last year and only taking 2 kids in the draft. And the drafts before that. Don't be fooled into thinking the club knows what it's doing or has a plan regarding rebuilding this club. They fell for Terry's spin and really believed we were a finals threat (along with many deluded ferals). Anyone with half an idea could have seen that Terry was taking us into a deep hole yet the club was prepared to back him in and allow him to blow draft pick after draft pick for instant gratification. I harp on about rebuilding, draft picks and the rest becasue this is what it's all about. As for Newman demanding Wallace step down, I can actaully see where his frustration is coming from.

If Jakey isn't contracted next season his papers will be stamped and I'd be very surprised if he plays another senior game. I don't think he's running the club though. Seems to me he's a bit player in the drama and has been the victim of bad leadership in some ways. It's one thing to front the coach but another matter entirely to demand he pull the pin. Newmo and the players involved were right out of line but the more pressing matter for me is why they were pushed to such extreme measures in the first place.

Hutchy got 1/2 hr prime airtime to justify his position, though he said nothing new and wouldn't say how he knew what was said in a meeting of only several people.

He didn't even give anyone from the RFC the right of reply. This looks to me as a cover my butt exerise by Hutchy, poor journalism. He ran with a story he has not facts to back up with. A meeting was held, fact. What was said, they won't tell Mr Hutchy so I'll fill in my own gaps and teach them for making me look bad, I'm the best sports journalist in Melbourne, look at me, look at me, look at me.....

If the players did try and push Terry, they should be smacked into line.
The Board seems to be handling the chaos pretty well.
The club/board needs to have a very strong showing of unity on Saturday night. Stand together on the G with coach, captain, senior players & board all very tight. Its us against the world mentality.
Then it would be nice if we played hard aggressive footy and won.
