If there is anything wrong with what's been reported, particularly in the last 36 hours, then Newman will be breathing fire tomorrow night and the team will as well.


If they roll over meekly and we get pummeled by 10 goals +, then I am going to stick with relying on the likes of Tigerbob etc and the stock tehy put in their sources.

Of course we will, it is one of the most famous brands. There will be plenty of people eager to have a crack at list and set up some success. A few callers on KB's SEN show this morning were not convinced with this 'exclusive' that Crutchy provided. He actually proved no fact that Newman was the cause by asking/telling Wallace to step down.

Just like when he as a journo knows that there IS something fishy going on when he asks questions and receives a 'no comment' response from players and coaches, he hypocritically didn't even answer SAM Newman's question on if this fact is true, and so bypassed the question.

On SEN, even Greg Denham from The Age gave him some hard questions along with KB. The funny thing was that as many callers commented on just laughing at what he showed on the Footy show last night, he decided to call in and explain it all again and even stated "I was there at the meeting". This clearly shows that Crutchy's only making assumptions and doesn't want to ruin his reputation when people go against him.

I heard Mark Robinson apologise to Wallace & Royal with a sheepish tone in his voice, but this *smile* called Crutchy continues to stand by his words thinking he is the absolute best in the world when in fact all he's done is just show our players walk out of a meeting in Port Melbourne.

I think Hutchy has a series of facts/assumptions/chinese whispers and has been playing a massive game of join the dots!

Oh and he also has some sycophantic followers like Mark Doran muddying the waters on SEN as well.

I totallly agree and what was shown on the footy show last night was a compete con.

They introduced the show by saying Hutchy was at the meeting and they indicated that wallace would be on the show to explain his case.

My wife and I thought - how could Richmond allow media into a meeting like that and that it was brave for Wallace to come onto the show. We were both taken aback by the intro.

Then what happened - it was all a complete lie and much more than a media beat up - Hutchy was NOT AT THE MEETING - he was outside running around like headless chook and not involved in any of the discussions. Given the only response he got was a no comment or we a 1 and 7 etc he used that to incorrectly support what he wanted to hear.

Garbage reporting and the more I look at it - the media are out of control and will not rest till Wallace is gone. I agree with Lyon that the rfc have held firm and should be congradulated on it.

You're in denial. Hutchy undoubtedly dressed it up colourfully but its clear that events along those lines did actually happen.

If I was the leak what better way to have anyone of them believe me when they all come out and say they are hearing the same thing yet it was me telling them all the same thing.

Until they say who they get their info from then they have not proven that they are all correct.

Agreed....as I have said previously, if this was all wrong then surely those who have been fingered would be denying everything. Reputations have been muddied by all of this..."Rumours" like this can cost blokes their careers, yet noone yet has stepped forward to deny what has been said. The silence speaks volumes IMO.

I don't feel for Terry Wallace at all, George.

You will find Terry is the cause of most of this mess, him and his mates.

He wants to look after himself and only himself, has no thoughts about our club.

Hope he suffers and get's what he deserves.

Interesting that for Robbo and Hutchy to be able to know they get it from different sources they must have shared with each other who their source is so why not come clean with the rest of us?

Deny it and be accused of covering it up dammed if they do and dammed if they don't. On the footy show last night when asked what was said in the meeting they were told none of their business and that is the way it should be.

Probably, we're a rabid bunch sometimes. But if I was Chris Newman and my reputation as an AFL captain had been so badly damaged by lying journos, I'd be demanding a retraction. The fact that he hasn't makes me think the journos aren't lying.
