Footy media , love’m or hate’ m ?

Breaking news: Damian Barrett is a tosser & Kane Cornes is a jerk.

Seriously it's so boring discussing these trolls year after year. Just ignore them!
Cornhead continuously asking Figgy if he's gonna coach Wet Coke. Figgy getting angry and keeps repeating the same words. You need a Mortein spray with this annoying prick hovering around non stop.

Phil Davis & Jack Riewoldt are good additions to the landscape. The media needs more recent players out of the game. Some of the old faces need to be cleaned right out. It’s like some of them have jobs for life.

Didn’t realised Davis was in the media now , always super impressive off field in his playing days

Barrett now saying Lynch is a chance to move......but on the other hand his salary could be an impost. Collingwood or the Dogs a likely destination 🤔

Barrett is the kid in the playground with no mates.

The Dobber. No mates.

He's behaving like a maggot on the seasons carcass. What a bore.

From Zero Hanger - spot the Freudian slip!

Speaking on Channel 9's The Sunday Footy Show, Barrett believed that both clubs will be taking a close look at gaining Lynch's services next season despite being contracted until the end of 2025.

“I believe that Tom Lynch will be a person of interest for both Collingwood and Melbourne, (or) at least in consideration – they are both on record now of needing a key forward for next year,” Barrett said.

“I feel that he's going to be of interest; what does become an impostor is a $1.5 million price tag on his attached price tag on his attached contract the next year … They wouldn't have to give up much, I think taking as much of the salary will be reason enough.”

Sam McClure on the radio just now
“ I just can’t see him being at Melbourne next year”. He’s moved on from dusty “ I just can’t see him being at Richmond next year” ( last year) and regurgitating the same line with petracca

Anyone else noticing the way the media is skewing the Petracca situation against him and in favour of the club? Its quite disturbing and insidious IMO. More evidence of the way the media just completely toes the AFL line.

I’m finding it pretty disgusting tbh. But then I look at which “journos” are saying that crap and think , I’m not surprised

Wasn't the 2020 premiership winner meant to be regarded by the media as the best ever.
I lost count how many times I heard ,'who ever wins this, will be regarded the best ever" 'challenging, away from Home, No crowds, playing on neutral grounds'
Till we won it.
If I hear it shouldn't be counted again, it won't end nicely

Destroyed GWS and crushed Geelong in the second half of the gf.
We dominated the finals.

Yep. All season and right up to the finals that’s what I kept hearing. I thought at the time, beauty because the year before a lot of people whinged about our ‘unfair’ advantage of, you know, playing our home games on our home ground in the lead up and including the finals. So all season heard everyone say it would be the best ever. That is until we won it. Then it was an”asterisk” premiership because you know, season interruptions, shortened season, shortened match times etc
But to me it was the fairest season. Everyone played each other once, mainly neutral grounds. The fact we had to play Brisbane on their home ground and travel to Adelaide to play port on their home ground then played on a neutral ground for the gf , to me, meant it was one of the best premierships we’ve won ( beating the handbaggers was a sweet bonus)
