Melbourne FC is separated into four different locations, presumably so that if one group goes down they can still field a team. Not sure how a team can be expected to perform at an elite level under such conditions.
Obviously there's a $25b contract at stake and they're doing all they can not to breach, but the AFL has never been good at rules on the run and I suspect its rushed attempts to keep the season alive are destined to fail.
