Essendon = Entitlement

Caracalla will be fine. He is an “Essendon” person

He is supposedly on a good contract. Clarkson will get a massive contract and he comes as a package with Todd Viney, so something needs to give under the soft cap.

I think it will be that Caracalla takes a big pay cut or he leaves.

If I was Clarko, I'd have more enthusiasm to return to the club that started you and rebuild it from scratch to success, rather than a lazy fatcat who is overloaded with egos.

He’s gonna run into problems at Arsendon. His autocratic style won’t be accepted as easily as it would at Norf. He’ll have Sheedy and influential coteries to deal with. Plus a list that those idiots think is better than it really is, so when he wants to start dumping half of them he’ll run into resistance - unless he can also turn over half the football staff and CEO as well.

It’s so easy to envisage Clarko being a disaster at that crap club.

Bring it on.

I laugh Brereton and Dunstall are the ones pushing Clarkson for the job just to make them worse.
That would make me laugh and laugh and laugh.

Zips Specials
Clarkson to Essendon
5-1 won't last 2 years
3-1 finished by round 10 3rd yr
9-4 2026 won't be there
10-1 win final
20-1 top 4

Interesting now that the story around is that Rutten and the head of football ( is it Josh Mahony?) are at odds with Dud-oro.

I just find it amazing that a club who hasn't won a final since Adam was a boy will stick with the Recruiting Manager who has delivered all the playing lists since then.

It is mind blowing

The morons clearly think that it's always been a coaching issue, hence the desire to keep their master recruiter and sack the dud coaches.

Hun saying Clarko's closing in on Bummers. What a scum of a club. Have to feel for lolnorf I must admit, although could be a blessing in disguise.

Yep, especially if Norf are going to pay him what they are reported to have offered him.

If Clarko gets the Bummers job, let's hope we see a conspiracy similar to this

Hawthorn and North had a bit of a run in the 70s also didn’t they Ridley? Fair to say though, I imagine they would likely have had a bit of novelty value, being their first real run at some sort of sustained prominence.
Wasalways glad we dodged Hawks infinals in 70s and early 80s.

I think he has more than a few compromising pics and folders of info

The footage of Rutten on the bench is like it is an episode of the Office. It's very awkward, and he keeps looking at the camera.

Yes as a kid growing up in the 70s it was all about Richmond, Collingwood and Carlton. Essendon were nobodies. Sheedy turned it around when he started as coach in 1981.
Essendon had a run in the mid 60s winning in 65 and playing in a grand final in 68. They had some very prominent top liners like Jack Clarke, John Birt, Ken Fraser, Ken Fletcher and Barry Davis amongst others. They were certainly up there with Collingwood, Carlton, Geelong and us during that time.
They dropped away in the 1970s until the Sheedy era.
