Elimination Final Game Day Thread v Lions

How do you know the goal umpire got it right either ? They’ve stuffed up this year as many times as ARC has.

Lynch looked like he had missed. His face and hand gesture said it all.

And despite it having been the sealer, not one single player went over to Lynch to congratulate him after he kicked it either.
Rules say the vision has to be definitive to overturn the goal umpires decision. I've yet to hear anybody say they thought any of that vision was definitive.

That's the dumb part

You know that’s how they operate so don’t bring it into the equation to begin with by kicking the thing better in the first place from 5m out.

Or better still, don’t make the insane amount of basic errors all game long such that you mimick a Monty Python film.

Richmond robbed itself.

Broads been fine on Cameron. Camerons goal, Broad was outstanding but Flossy was too slow to then go with him at ground level. The tap he gave for Hipwoods goal was terrific, but Broad was doing the right thing and right on his tail.
Disagree on that one. Broad was far too preoccupied with Cameron; played the man and actually shoved him in the back instead of watching and leaping at the ball which he may have blocked, meanwhile Charlie played it clever.

Thats irrelevant.

The arc was designed to eliminate umpire error,

And its exacerbated it.

scott morrison should consecrate himself as secret AFL chief of everything and pray for the game.

Just watched a loop of danihers goal.

He beat 5 (five) tigers; nank, jack, tarrant, noah and vlastuin.

He won a 1:5.

Monumental slow motion car crash loss

We had 43% possession to 27% in the last 10 minutes of the game with the lead for 9 minutes of it.

But yet again we coughed it up. Unbearable this year. Unbearable.
Our total and complete ineptitude late in close games this year is mind boggling. You could not make that *smile* up.

It takes conclusive evidence that the umpires decision was incorrect and if that goal was counted with 3 minutes to go, so there's nothing to suggest we wouldn't have held on even if we'd made the same series of mistakes.

Yep we are too nice. If that was those opposition frauds we played tonight or the Handbaggers, they would have been all jumping up in unison.

Ball should’ve been punched 10 rows back. Balta hit it about half a meter. As bad as you will see but all too common for our backline this year.

Rubbish. It takes conclusive evidence that the umpires decision was incorrect. Nothing else matters until there is proof otherwise.
‘It takes conclusive evidence’ nope that’s not right. ‘It should take conclusive evidence’ well they say it should but no that can’t be right either. ‘It could maybe take conclusive evidence if there was or was not any’ perfect, that sounds right.

The real issue is our complete inability to win close games. 5 losses by a goal or less and a draw. We have not won one close game this year. We are complete panic merchants, fumbler and bumblers when the game is on the line. It is the difference between us and Collingwood this year. They are top 4 and we are out in another terrible EF loss.

Hardwick's inability to sort this out this year has been extremely disappointing. I wonder if he still has Fly's number? Fly seems such a great bloke he may give us some tips on how to win close ones.
Give us some credit with about 1 minute and bit to go we tried our very best to keep the ball in congestion but the ball bounced out like it hit a brick wall.
The biggest issue we have is we don't have any player's maybe besides big V & lynch that can take a pack mark.
Gibcus instead of putting Sticky shittt on his hands he dipped them in mums olive oil.
Balta at times mis reads the ball when he jumps. And we need a defenders coach who can teach us how to punch defensively.
We punch the ball like we are hitting a medicine ball.
4 jump for the ball Tarrant Gibcus Balta and Nakas and Danihiar still kicks a goals.
That was so embarrassed to watch.

In other words, it's a chook raffle?

Sounds about right.

I think we have to accept that as long as Dimma is coach we will lose more close games than win...

Given this issue has been going on since 2012 i am not confident he will fix it anytime soon..
