Elimination Final Game Day Thread v Lions

Pains me to say it but i think Cats have it in the bag this year. If they dont it might just make uo for tonight.... Well a little

Gibcus needs a preaeason of eating plenty of harden the *smile* up.
Really should not have been in the side. Has been nowhere near it in the second half of the year but we kept playing him. He played soft and timid tonight and it cost us.

He seems to have the tools to be a good player but he needs to learn from this and harden up. He's a first year player but gee he was disappointing tonight.

If you look at this picture carefully you can see the goal umpire is in perfect position to make his call. The score reviewers are making their call from no better position than someone in the crowd. SMH.
End of day, Lynch didn’t celebrate. not one tiger celebrated. Clearly they all thought it was a point.

Come on
How many times have you seen this year and even last year conceded goals in those exact play.
We were up by 17 with 8 mins to goal against Geelong and we made some terrible defensive mistakes.
Instead of punching it out we pushed towards Geelongs goal.
2 defenders go up but no one looks at Henry.
Astbury was the General
Agree re Dave. Was the calming influence. Massive loss

Neale carved us up tonight. Unbelievable.
I had him 3rd most influential person on the ground.

Behind Finlay and Mollison
Findlay sat on the bench next to Hocking in the 2020 GF
I'm telling you if was on the ground the result might’ve been different

Just a sensational game of footy, one of the best finals matches ever I would reckon. Shame there had to be a loser and shame it was us.

Sums up our season in a way, didn't take our chances in close games and it cost us a genuine premiership shot.

Going to be hard watching the next few weeks knowing we should be there, but the game is in great shape, the new rules are flying and if tonight is any indication it will be a magnificent finals series.

And next year has plenty of promise.
That’s essentially a provocative post. Clearly disadvantaged by the umpires which in a close game had an influence?
Please do a review of the umpires because they ultimately did cost the game.

The bloke in the Arc has just returned the Brisbane scarf back to the club
How could he over turn the goal umpires goal of a goal? How??

FMD the goal umpire is in a great spot.

AFL website already trying to rewrite history by saying replays showed the ball flicking the post.

And you can bet the AFL will "tick the decision off"

Nank was terrible tonight. He just played a dumb game, constantly winning the ruck and giving it straight to Neale. It was Rhys Stanleyesque.

We are crying out for a couple of clearance players and that needs to be the priority next season. We still need a key forward but every other player drafted needs to be an inside mid.

On paper and form we should have won by at least 5-7 goals.
Hate to say it but I reckon Dimma got out coached tonight.
I think that’s right. Unbelievable that we lost.

Not the players decision. It’s the umps and he called it a goal. There was insufficient evidence to overrule it.

AFL changed the rules on the night to manufacture an outcome and there’s nothing anyone can say to me to change my mind
