Dylan Grimes JDM

2 to 3 weeks to resume full training

another 2 to 3 weeks for fitness and form

Would be fantastic if he came in Round 17 and the balance of the year thereafter

I fear Dylan Grimes is going to end up our next Mark Coughlan. So much talent but injury is going to cruel his career. His body just cannot cope with the rigours of AFL football. Fix one thing and then it is just the next weakest link in the chain. I don't think we bank on him being a central piece in our backline given he just won't be on the park enough. Good luck to him though as he would be a 'gun' otherwise....just like Cogs.

That is a possibility.
But for the time being we can only hope that it doesn't become a reality.
He's given us enough to show that he could be an absolute long term gem - and until proven otherwise - he should be given every opportunity to get himself right to play footy.

May be true but the great thing about Grimes is he cost a PSD pick so I see Dyl as a surplus. If he plays that's great if he doesnt that's okay too.

Well his latest injury sucks but it is not related to his hamstrings which is a BIG bonus as if that was the case I'd be very pessimistic. As long as the hammies don't give way again I think he'll be fine.

Grimes for Frawley? :p

Grimes & our 1st pick would do it.
The bloke isn't reliable. And the talk of him playing in the finals (if we make it) scares me.
Out of his 23-25 games how many has he hobbled off in?
Wouldn't consider him unless we no other option.

Talk of trading Dylan is insane, he'll be fine and an integral part of our back half if we can continue our form into finals this year and beyond.

Absolute crazy talk. Frawley can be good defensively but is woeful offensively, He is barely a 6 out of 10 footballer and often a liability.

Grimes is an 8 out of 10 footballer and with continuity likely to be better than that.

First I'd never trade Grimes, second I wouldn't take Frawley unless he was real cheap.

Third, if you theoretically traded Grimes you'd take nothing less than a top 3 pick and that's because a quality defender who is a smart decision maker and good rebounder is gold ......Jerry.

Only Carlisle would have him covered among <23 yo defenders. (Maybe Thompson from GC as well)

R u serious? He would be lucky to be worth pick 40-50.
What club would give you a 1st rounder for him?

What would be the point of trading him for a speculative pick? The best you could hope to get of it would be another Dylan grimes, and we already have one of those.

There's no medical reason to suggest that once he gets back from the foot he's likely to get injured again.

He's higher than that Zip, I'd say 20's.
He can't stay on the park, since his debut he only play 22 games out of a possible 83 games....why would anyone give a top 10 pick?

The bloke reckons he would get a top 20 pick for him, I reckon his dreaming.
Last year it was his hammies, this year it's his Foot,
His not 35, his 23 he should be killing it now.
I hope he can get back, but I'm not stamping him in our side till I see him play 8-10 games in a row.
