Dylan Grimes JDM

Yep, I love Grimey, he absolutely hates being beaten, it's a pity some of his team mates aren't as passionate.

Because Richmond's backline of 2015 rated fourth in the AFL myths sprung up about the players within it.

Dylan isn't much good.

*But without him our backline is terrible.* I didn't say he was useless.

Dylan can't kick. Not at all. He knows that so he doesn't run forward. If he does it's a very quick short kick.

Yeah, we've seen the intuitive way he gets back to cover the ball carrying the hyper aggressive Rance. And the quick hands. The understanding. But he can't kick.

Dale Morris would break him in half. And Grimes is unsound. The Jake Batchelor of 2017. If Mabior would pull his finger out he'd be in the ones now.

Grimes is not the answer. D grade player.

Are you serious? Without grimes we would be screwed.
He is gun defender.
Dale Morris my ass.

Not with you on this one Jack.

Grimes is the crucial rare defender who can play on all types, though not great by foot, makes up for it with nous, guts and speed. Defiantly in the D Morris mould, it's just the Hammys that are the only issue

No way Jose, the reason our backline is so good is how we attack out of it. Grimes and Rance are a double act, straight ahead attack on the ball. They stuff it up at times but thats part of the package. Love him.

I think youve divested too much of your power for critical thought to your new fancy computer.

The Artful Dodger is every bit as good as Easton Wood. On the brink of A-grade.

No, Dyer'ere, not much love on this one. Grimes is at least a B grade defender, and can kick well when not under extreme pressure (like a heap of players).
Makes very few diabolicals overall;shows guts, judgement, desperation and commitment.

You're way off the mark here.

Such statements cut to the heart of accusations that Richmond supporters overrate their players. You're not getting a lot of support on this one, Jack.

He's D grade in the same sense that Duncan Kellaway was D grade. Has the attitude of an A grader, which makes up for some deficiencies. A team of Grimeses would go OK.

Having said that, he had an uncharacteristic bad patch for a month or so this year.

Yep cant agree with ya big Jack, Grimes is and always has been our 2nd best back, can play tall and small, a very good player, had hoped he would kick on and perhaps win an AA however i think given his hammies and the fact he was a rookie pick up i am just pleased if he stays on the park with the qualities he already brings, baring injury easily a 200+ player

Wasn't he a PSD pick?

Agree however I can see him playing 200 games, if he stays fit. I don't think he'd get enough respect for an AA berth, but I think he's definitely a B+ or better.

Rance is an A+(+++++)
