Dylan Grimes JDM

Grimes is the ideal 3rd tall defender can play equally effective against taller or shorter opponents.

He is not one of our major issues imo.

I do think Dylan has come to the opinion that he will never be an AFL Premiership player. He is now mature enough to get through the season without busting his gut yet remaining in the starting line week after week in the dead pocket position. Be another Sheds 187 non achieving gamer.

He didn't play like that in his last final for Tigers.

Was one of our better players on the day and really should have been moved onto a key forward when it became clear that Batchelor coukdn't do it.

Rance is a 10/10 defender. Grimesy an 8/10 IMO. A ripper.

If Garthwaite comes on like I expect him too, we'll have a very tenacious and hard to score against last line of defence.

kick it up to Shorty and St.Oleg and we're away!!

I do think we have a gaping hole at CHB though. could Mabs stand in that big hole?

Grimes is a gun defender
We were cruising against Collingwood, the minute he got injured the game turned
Under rated how good he is.

It's a bit early to award Dumbest Post of the Year, but this is in the clubhouse with a 64.

Yep. Totally agree. If it wasn't for the hammy's continually stalling his momentum Grimes would be seen in a different light. Even with the continual set backs he is still one of our most important players. As soon as he started accelerating away in that Collingwood game I knew he would pull it. If he could put on the afterburners without getting injured we would be a much better side. Simple as that.

This Dylan's 7th year at the club. His 6 years has produced 79 games which indicates he has spent more time in the sickbay than he has out of it. This year must be a break out year for him playing week after week injury free. If not trade him.

He's played 16, 18 and 19 games in the past three years. Not that bad.

He is vital support for Sir Rancelot down in the furnace. Most under-rated player in our side. Just needs some continued luck with injury to maybe be fully appreciated by the doubters. The hamstrings are also indicative of the strain, demands on his body due to the effort he puts in to close down attacks. Goes flat out. Go check out his recent highlights on website.

That's a half reasonable post, Leon.

In actual fact, I agree with all of it :hihi

I love Grimey as a player for a couple of reasons

One is that he tries so damn hard, you get max effort from him every week. Second is that he can play on Eddie Betts one week and Jack Dunston the next. That versatility is incredibly valuable

He's also the most coachable player at the club. If Dylan's doing it, that's the game plan.
