Dylan Grimes JDM

He reminds me a bit of Dean Laidley, the junkyard dog
Nothing flash but gets the job done, disliked like by the opposition and takes advantage of rules.

Smart player, really. Looks kind of awkward at times, but still quite effective.

Harry Fas most probably would have kicked more than six if Dylan was still on the field with his man bag. Dylan is a DUD just like Conca & a few others Dimma pencils in each week.

Some good news from dimmas presser - Injury is a tendon behind the knee. Had a similar thing last year in the Adelaide game. Maybe 1-2 weeks but it's not a significant injury.

Now you are just showing your complete ignorance and making a *smile* of yourself.

I didn't think he sounded that confident. Wait and see.

Grimes is no Dud. Far from it. But I am pessimistic he won't keep breaking down when he needs a turn of speed. We have to have a third tallish nullifying defender. Grimes is the right man for the job. But sadly his chronic legs aren't.

Hope he is ok...difficult player to replace as he has reasonable height, a bit of pace, good reach and reads the play well. Doesn't try to do anything special, just does his job and does it well for the most part. Not sure who we have waiting in the wings with those attributes. Elton hasn't come on....The other names that come to mind are all smallish defenders...Maybe Broad? He looked a fair way off in the NAB games though I thought.

So he'll be out for 8 weeks based on that.

Big loss for next week, cant see who is going to play on Betts. Wouldn't mind Castagna coming in, but I just have a strong gut feeling that Dimma will look to Morris again.

Morris will def come in. Betts would ruin young castagnas career

Morris's career already ruined, better to play on him

Maybe it would define Castagna's career? Can we take some risks instead of trotting out the same failed personnel year after year.

That's the better approach IMO, tl.

I'd delist him, there is absolutely NO point in having a player out of action because
either of his hamstrings packs up regularly during the season.

Grimes has had the best medico's look at his legs, if they can't resolve the issues,
then I'd delist him and recruit a young player to the team accordingly.

Tough yeah but the whole aim of football is to win a flag, if you cant contribute
on the field regularly then there should be no place for you in the team.

when did he last have issues with the hammy? been pretty consistent for a couple of seasons now i would have thought. Not quite ready to throw him in the discard pile just yet, and will hold out hope that he can make it back this year.

Just hope dimmas assessment of 2 - 3 weeks is accurate.
