Same here craigo. It's all BS anyway. His body's cooked. Ooze giggled when he heard his old mate Ox spurted this out. All made up rubbish. My feel is Duz will retire at season's end as a 1 club player.
If he is cooked it will be ridiculous running around up here getting 5 kicks a game along will his usual non-defence. He'll probably get booed. If he was a soccer player he'd have the Saudi league to milk for a few mill. Doesnt work that way here. Will common sense prevail?

Not sure it was the age factor in Ellis' case

The AFL explained at the time the new contract is compared to some secret forula of average wages paid across the AFL and in that year the average increases and rose above the Ellis new contract amount. Smoke and mirrors

The AFL explained the Arc decision in the 2022 final & that was bs too.

Dimma didn’t think so. In the end thought it was a great decision after he was promised a shiny new job.

Here is the scoop guys. Dusty plays his last game for the Tigers round 24 against the Suns,Does a farewell don't argue on the boundary line weaves around two players and kicks a banana goal that has the Suns missing the finals.Dimma is furious and demands an ARC review which shows a clear goal.At his presser he says FFFFFF,and questions the AFL- that was not part of the deal.

Or Dusty plays his farewell game against the suns. Richmond loses another game by 10 goals.
Suddenly Dimma and co carry a table out to the field and Dusty sits down and signs his new contract with the suns live on TV.
It’s a 2 million dollar ambassador contract that is paid outside of the salary cap.
Ballon’s are dropped by 24 helicopters over head. Sun Dancers parade around the field.
Barrett call it a win for football
Cornes says it officially make Richmond the worst team in the comp.
Gill is announced the new CEO of the Suns.
2025 Suns win the wooden spoon
Martin walks due to not receiving his money.
Dimma is sacked
Gill disappears with $20 million including Martins pay check.
Suns fold

Dimma will walk out and head to the Wild West to coach the Eagles as it's close for Simmo to cop the sacking.

Agree with your last two lines - and that’s been my take through this saga i.e. that it would be in Dusty’s long term financial interests - let alone for his general peace of mind - to finish his playing career as a Tiger only

And another year would be a great note to finish on
He has served us well over his career and I wouldn't begrudge him another year or so at the club maybe on a reduced salary as he would help to bring on our cubs. Still, whatever happens, it is his decision and he will make up his mind at the right time. However, I just don't see Dusty in anything but yellow and black. Another Riewoldt or Cotchin, a one club player

I would say both Presita and Dusty should stay assuming we get a new fitness coach. The young ones need help with '"footy smarts'. They don't need to play every game. Just be on field coaches when selected. Play 70% of matches.

Thought Cotch's comments on Talking Footy whilst guarded were interesting.
'I think he's got to work out if he's got good footy left ahead of him. His motivation levels..'

Dusty will be leaning on those closest to him. I reckon he'll call it a day on the same number of games as Cotch.

That would be the second time Hardwick would have been dudded like that. Chris Yarran coming to mind!

I'm starting to wonder whether Dimma is getting sick of coaching again, maybe needs a new recipe book for suasages. Maybe shouldn't have played 'hide the suasage' back in 2020 and we might have still been a happy team down here.

I remember reading a passage in Balme's book about a trip up to QLD, the team returns, and the wife and kids for one of the players is waiting at the airport, but the player was stil lin QLD because he got some 'skirt'! So the rest of the team has to make excuses to the wife as to why her partner isn't with the rest of them.

He went on to say that it's hard to go to war next to this guy given how he treated his partner. From memory Balme was talking about the fabric of the playing group starting to fray, and the team starting to slide.

I wondered whether he was sending a cryptic message about our current team.

I don't want Dusty's reputation hurt but of course that is a purely fan viewpoint, he should do what is best for him.

Dusty is a bona fide legend of AFL footy and of RFC. I've been around long enough to see all the club legends of the last 50+ years and noone has given me greater joy as a supporter than Dusty. Maybe the great Royce Hart did as much but not more.

The thought of him running around struggling for a kick or playing cameos for another club just makes me sad.
