SEN now reporting that Collingwood are at the front of the queue for Dusty and have offered 1 million dollars a season. Not sure if it is for 4 or 5 years.

With so many palyers on huge salaries does Collonwood even have a salary cap?

Meh. Restricted free agency. We just match the terms and he's a Tiger. I don't care what we have to pay if it means keeping him from Scumwood, Scumton or Essendrugs.

Imagine Dusty under a half decent coach at RFC.

Was thinking the same. We're in the box seat given he is a restricted free agent. It would have to be a crazy offer for us not to match. I also think dusty likes the comfort of having his mates around him. Going in to a new environment with new players, new coaches, new everything, doesn't really suit him.

They only have 2 good players. Treloar and penderbury all the rest are from cash converters

Like Swanny isn't in his ear about where to go.

If Collingwood can afford it with treloar, pendles, wells etc on big money then so can we.

Can't afford to be cheapskates and lose him on the difference of say 800/900k vs 1.1 mil-ish.

That would would barely equal Morris's or Hunts contracts. No Martin buries the club for 10 years.

Clubs will be banking on the new EBA to be able to afford him, which is why he is waiting. The salary cap will be going up.

Probably will need a sharper pencil from Balmey to get it done

Hey Dusty, here's a taste of how much Scumwood supporters love Richmond players:

I actually think Dusty will stay with the Tigers fwiw.

I think it's pretty concerning. Pies are the worst side we want interested in dusty imo. What With Eddie making all sorts of promises behind the scenes.
Ie: I know people in very high places, Nudge nudge wink wink, your dad could be back in oz by round 1 2018
Ie: I know a lot of people in transport, they could help you get a leg up into that industry after your footy career
Ie: we're *smile* loaded

For a difference in 200k cant see him leaving. It would be chewed up by tax. Will take a buddy deal to prise him.

Reported Eddie McEverywhere seen at Tulla booking a ticket to NZ
Its rumoured once there Eddie will put Dustys ol man on a dinghy sail to Australia and claim asylum so he can be reunited with Dusty. 8-

Yes. You can never under-estimate the deviousness of Ed.

For all the people who think they can't afford a big $$$$$ offer to Dusty, remember they lost Swannie early and traded out Twav.

worst case only half zgod. Dont think dusty or co pay that much anyway. Once you are there it probably dont mean much. The more you make the more you take.

According to Jake Niall on AFL Today, St Kilda have ruled themselves out of making an offer for Dusty.
They will be going offer Nat Fyfe instead.
I'd have been concerned if Dusty's boyhood club had come in with an offer as they are set to play finals for the next few years. It would have been tempting.
Put yourself in Dusty's shoes and imagine Richmond making a big offer for you. I'd be seriously considering it and very likely to take the offer.

I started a fruitful (literally), but very unlucrative career as a bogan-hippy farmer in NNSW instead.
I havnt looked back.

Hey Easy, there's much to be said for being "a bogan-hippy farmer".
Such entities proudly exist in Central Victoria also.
