Dusty would be foolish to sign before the new deal is agreed.
At last, someone on here making sense.

I love watching him, and really hope he stays. If he doesn't though, I'm not gonna get bent out of shape. We'll get a few picks for him, if we don't try re-sign him and force him to stay.
We've put tons of effort into him, stuck by him through all the crap, give him leave to go see his dad. If he walks, it'll be a slap in the face for all we've done to support him. I won't want that type of player wearing a gold sash.
Jason King said:He has provided the club with what 8 years of service? Being drafted to and playing for the worst performing club since Fitzroy who still haven't got it right at any level of operations. He will stay if the offer is fair and the club shows big improvement. How could anyone begrudge a guy for wanting to move if it's yet another false dawn? You think these kids want to be selected by basket case clubs and dwindle away without achieving success?
He loves the club and has worked his ass off and been loyal. We would have to perform pretty badly to lose him.
Tigers of Old said:As with any player who does so, there's no doubt a selfish aspect to Martin choosing to wait until seasons end before re-signing.
He should cop some criticism for that as some just put it to bed early and get on with it to avoid speculation.
It will be a topic that keeps coming up during the year whether we like it or not.
Hopefully the distraction is minimal but the longer it goes on history shows he may be headed elsewhere.

Worst performing club since Fitzroy , how do you figure that. The histroy books record flags and where you finish on the ladder , or are you making things up to suit your own agenda :Jason King said:He has provided the club with what 8 years of service?
