His last contract extension went without a hitch. He's since been 2nd & 1st in the b&f, 7th and 3rd in the Brownlow. Why would we lowball him?
Coz he's a pumpkin.....

Dusty isn't going anywhere else but Tigerland.

The rest of the footy clubs, and the AFL, know what he is, having rejecting his sales pitch a few years ago.

Richmond should knuckle down and offer him a low contract and not be blackmailed, or sucked in, to pay him overs, like what happened a couple years ago.
stick with the facts rimma. Low ball him? Pay him what is fair and right, just like all the others.

This is just dumb

Seven News about to report "bad news" re a tiger superstar contract. How much of a beat up remains to seen...and might not be Dusty....

It's Dusty alright and he wants to wait until after the season all depending on how we go. More pressure on Dimma.

Was Dusty and waiting until end of season.

Asterix: Reported by Mark Stevens

Also quality piece in the Hun.

Last sentence is as follows "Martin won the club’s best and fairest last year and polled the most votes of any Richmond player." Duuuurrr!

Smart business decision by Martin, he would be mad not to unfortunately, a sign of the times.

No surprise there
Manager is going to get the best deal he can for his player
Which means holding off as long as it take
Possibility we may have a new coach next season might want to see how the year pans out

Jon Ralph tweeted something to the effect of "Dusty Martin has put negotiations with Richmond on hold until end of season. Current status but could change"

I reckon he's got this one right. Either negotiations will happen after the season ends or before it ends.

Absolute guesswork headline grabbing journalism.

I have no idea if Dusty will stay or go, but I'm pretty certain JonRalph doesn't either.

PS: Amazing co-incidence this comes out day after Aus Open. HUN needing some sales I guess.

Ha this is gonna be a story all year sit back and get some popcorn.

The worse our season and dependiing on Dustins form the bigger the story it will become.

And the more likely he will go.

I no longer care, yep i love the kid but if he wants to go then see ya later hes gonna cost two first rounders ideally two in the first 10.

Much more important things in life now than p!ssing ones pants over whether a footballer is going to stay at the RFC or go elsewhere.

It's stake-out time!! This summer's been too quiet on AFL players. Chopstickgate was soooo long ago.

Yep that's the way I look at it as well. If he left we would have 4 first round draft picks.

Well I hope she is right. For some reason I just can't trust her.

Good to see that Peggy was right about Martin's contract.

For all those talking two top 10 picks remember Dusty is a restricted Free Agent, making it hard to match an offer for a guy that doesnt want to play for us.

It it goes to a trade our return was be diluted ala Dangerfield.

galling if it becomes a success issue. only one guy you can blame for that - Hardwick.

the club's decision to extend HIS contract will have long-lasting damage.

Yeah it certainly could Baron.

Hopefully Carr has stirred the pot prior to his meeting with Balme and Richardson on Tues to get us to up our offer to get Dusty to sign earlier.

I don't care who plays for us their is no loyalty and nor should there be the system is set up that way show me the money none of these muppets in the real world would have access to $$$$$ that they have now so good luck to them so don't expect me to care if they stay leave or get hurt while playing for us I barrack for the black and yellow we move on....
